so much for innocent until proven guilty

Well then, I wonder what the other 31 NFL teams feel about innocent until proven guilty?

Who do you think will sign Araiza?

Here's a clue....don't hold your breath waiting.

The Buffalo Bills did the absolute right thing here.

Not able to watch/listen, but if things came to light that Araiza didn’t disclose to them that put the organization in this situation then it is in the organization’s best interest, regardless of his guilt or innocence of what he’s accused of, to move on.

A full investigation will take months and would have massive negative implications on a team that has a super bowl shot.

Yep exactly. Literally would have been a dark cloud media storm over a punter...

The bills did the right thing IMO.

sorry for shouting but you’re the 400th person to use this asinine argument:

DUE PROCESS AND “INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY” DO NOT APPLY TO PRIVATE EMPLOYERS. THIS IS NOT A COURT OF LAW.

As soon as someone says "sorry but...." they aren't sorry.

It sucks for Araiza, and it's totally unfair, but it's probably the right thing for the Bills.

How do you know it is unfair?  Losing his job may just be the start. He might be in jail if he led that girl to get gang raped.

My company is publicly traded they essentially tell you if you get a DUI or go bankrupr without telling them you will be fired.

The way the team played last night seemed to be an indication of this whole thing impacting on the field play. Our o-line was no help, but the team didn’t seem to have the same mojo as the first two games.

That and "they ruined his life/career".  They chose to not have him on the team, in due course if he proves his innocence he can try out for any team he wants.

My company is also publicly traded. Same.

Could you imagine getting fired from your company and shouting “what about innocent until proven guilty?!?!.” The laughter from HR would be raucous.

Think any reasonable person would agree this was the right move for the Bills.

Obviously hope the allegations aren’t true considering how horrific they are but this isn’t something the Bills can mess around with and the fact that he’s a rookie punter makes it even easier to just wipe your hands clean and move on.

This is really the bottom line. Even if they had known about this as simply an accusation in April, he would have been off their board.

That is frankly why it is so easy to root for this team. We don’t have to be like chiefs fans and try to weakly justify all the terrible misconduct by our players. The Bills want a team of high character guys, and it means passing on guys where there are even question marks.

Not applicable...the Bills aren't a courtroom and don't have to make a legal decision. Obviously they don't want to to play under the cloud and distraction of an investigation that could go on for months.
