Punters seem useless until they mess up.  It's a pretty important position especially in the playoffs.  You don't want Mahomes starting at the 50 in January when it should be the 25 or less.  They Drafted Araiza for a reason.  I do agree that they will sign someone who gets released in a few days.  Lots of good legs out there that are being pushed of rosters because younger guys are coming up.

I predict that we will sign Brett Kern from Tennessee,  who is likely to be cut on Tuesday.  3 time PB, having a great camp and still has a lively leg. Averaging 49yds in camp. He's also a home boy, Grand Isle native. And the best part is he's a coffin corner, pin em deep punter. That's perfect for us, with our O its not too often we will be putting from deep in our territory.  Keep an eye out for this. 

Why do you think he will be cut if he is doing so well?  I assume they have a veteran they are happy with?

They have a rookie doing just as well and cutting Kern saves them money

Barkley did pretty well, considering the situation. That being said, they probably want to find a legit one. For never having punted until yesterday, he did way better than others I've seen do emergency punts after someone was injured.

Well the argument for Araiza being  a perfect fit for us was that it's not too often we would have been punting from midfield because of how good our offense is. We would be going for it on 4th and manageable quite a bit. So the rare occasion we go three and out have to punt from inside our 35 would be perfect for Araiza's big leg.

Reviewed spotrac - Brett Kern has $2,750,000 salary, dead cap is $550,000, Titans are $6,640,000 under the cap, other punter has no dead cap and $708,000 salary.  Kern will be available in my opinion
