At this point I am no longer worried about drop off from Arazia. There's enough names that look serviceable until next year

It's more about the jump up from Haack.

So if I've got it right, Chrisman was one of the best punters in the league at Ohio State, but he never played an NFL snap and spent the season on the Bengals PS?

Edit: Yolo set me straight, he was at Cincinnati, not Ohio State.

I think he may be contemplating retirement... i just dont think he wants to go to just any team. It would have to be the right scenario. Thankfully i think we may be perfect seeing as he is from Buffalo area and likely has family in area. And the fact that we are a superbowl contender.

Punting for the Bills is semi-retirement

Chrisman presents an interesting debate IMO. Kern is a safe, known commodity. He is also 36. He can be the short-term solution. Chrisman could be here for 15 years but may not be as good right now (he may be). Chrisman will likely come cheaper as well. I’m fine either way but it is interesting.

Chrisman needs some refinement, that's likely why Bengals cut him. I'm sure he'll be on someone's practice squad this season.

I bet Josh Allen could punt the daylights out of the ball. - just saying, the dude is an incredible athlete.

Go Bills!!!!!

Think there was a report stating that Josh is the best punter at Two Bills Drive, currently.

Years ago one of the best punters in the league was Randall Cunningham, but they wouldn't let him punt except once in a while.  He had 20 punts for a 44.7 average but while with the Eagles he punted 12 times averaging 51.7 yards per punt.  He never had a punt blocked and has the 3rd longest punt in NFL history at 91 yards:

I don’t necessarily agree. It was a surprise to most that he was cut. He’s better than a lot of guys on active rosters, like Haack. He is also cheap and young. He will be someone’s punter this year IMO.

I don't doubt it. Cunningham was an amazing athlete!

Daryle Lamonica, the Mad Bomber was the Bills punter as a rookie in 1963, 52 punts that year.  Replaced by Maguire
