CorkScrewHill Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 The Bills have contacted Kern per Tim Graham https://titanswire.usatoday.com/2022/08/30/nfl-free-agency-bills-brett-kern-titans/ 1 Quote

Hes actually from Cincinnati too. But yes he was signed by the bengals last year as a UDFA. 1 Quote

It would have to be the right scenario. Thankfully i think we may be perfect seeing as he is from Buffalo area and likely has family in area. And the fact that we are a superbowl contender. Punting for the Bills is semi-retirement 1 2 Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 Chrisman presents an interesting debate IMO. Kern is a safe, known commodity. He is also 36. He can be the short-term solution. Chrisman could be here for 15 years but may not be as good right now (he may be). Chrisman will likely come cheaper as well. I’m fine either way but it is interesting. 1 Quote
YoloinOhio Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 Chris Brown is about to get suspended again 🤣. He just said the Bills need to get a new punter in here to figure out how Bass likes his balls. 8 Quote

Years ago one of the best punters in the league was Randall Cunningham, but they wouldn't let him punt except once in a while. He had 20 punts for a 44.7 average but while with the Eagles he punted 12 times averaging 51.7 yards per punt. He never had a punt blocked and has the 3rd longest punt in NFL history at 91 yards: 1 1 Quote

He is also cheap and young. He will be someone’s punter this year IMO. Edited August 30, 2022 by Kirby Jackson Quote

zow2 Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 Hopefully it's Kern. A week to prepare would be plenty of time for a vet like him. 1 Quote
