I’m not here to argue gray areas of legal statutes. Just thought you’d be interested to know he was actually 21 at the time.

It just shocks me that a lawyer is airing this stuff on twitter. It seems so desperate and amateur. If you have a strong case, why would you pull idiotic stunts like this?  It seems his main concern is  about winning in the court of public opinion.

And I think that's what he is trying to do. He wants public outrage so he can go on TV shows and make more money

The girl’s attorney is behaving like a billboard special…you know the ones, catchy slogans to reel in the personal injury cases so he can take almost half of a recovery for which precious little is done besides a few letters. But hey, that’s our system.

According to the ESPN article posted above, the Bills found out after drafting him, but before releasing Haack and naming Araiza the starter. The point still stands for sure, the Bills obviously felt comfortable with what they found. I can guarantee that detectives in the SCU would care and probably wouldn't be swayed by outside sources to disregard a case, but you never know. I think the fact that they didn't pursue criminal charges after investigating it is telling. They even recorded a conversation between the woman and Araiza. Maybe there is still time to make this a criminal case, but you'd think that would've already happened if it was desired.

Who is this Jane Doe anyway?  She seems to get into trouble quite a lot.

What is that girl's lawyer doing? What a dirtbag. I'm not taking anyone's side, but that lawyer is an absolute piece of trash

She wants her rape kit results. She wants information on the criminal investigation. She claims no one is cooperating with her. She’s the victim. It’s been almost a year. Imagine.

Neither am I.

I was simply showing where I got that information from.

He's reminding me of Casey Anthony's attorney.

Not worth the headache and the kid obviously put himself in a bad situation whether he’s guilty or not… that being said, if this guy couldn’t punt the ***** out of the ball he would’ve been released six weeks ago…. They are partly keeping him around(at least so far) because he’s good at his job.

Welcome to the NFL where winning and the almighty dollar is king.

More from the accuser's attorney.

The first one doesn’t mean much to me. Innocent. Guilty. Get your own attorney.

But the second one…that seems to paint the picture that Araiza has been hiding something and that the Bills may be playing catch up because of it. But now that the Bills attorney is involved, things are different.

Agreed… I find it funny the fans here when bashing the Browns with the Bills being holier than thou who only employ great people…. Almost impossible in this industry.

The Browns rewarded Watson with a $230 million dollar guaranteed contract after 24 civil cases against him.  There is a difference.

This news broke about 14-15 hours ago and we are still waiting on the facts....from one person.

Is it possible he’s acting this way because of the alleged crimes and the fact they’ve been waiting 10 months for the rape kit results?

He was quiet for 10 months. He could’ve made headlines during the draft process. There is an ongoing criminal investigation.

He didn't make waves during the draft because he didn't want to lose his chance at a nice payday.

Let's see what evidence comes out and if criminal charges are filed

To be fair, Tony Buzbee did this too and it helped him force Watson to settle. The court of public opinion is powerful.

Yup.. There’s a lot of Bills fans on Twitter that I would never want in my corner at any point in life.

Podcasters desperately trying to get Twitter clout and fans who want him locked up over an accusation.

If Araiza did what he’s accused, then he deserves every bit of this, and the Bills deserve the heat for - so far - sticking by him.

If not, or if it’s murky and he’s just a dumb college kid who was in the wrong place at the wrong time… this is a Black Mirror style example of modernity in the court of public opinion.

Its a very simple concept, yet we still have people acting as if he's been proven guilty already.

Whether they don't understand this simple concept or are simply rejecting it I can't say. What is certain is they aren't adhering to the concept.

The concept is a legal one.  Joe Shmoe standing around the water cooler has no power to subject anyone to any criminal consequences.

People are discussing these abhorrent claims.  Everyone on the planet knows that he will not be subject to any criminal punishment until found guilty in a court of law.
