Just watched the post-game press conference. Seems pretty obvious to me McD did not have all the facts that came out in the lawsuit. That tells me two things. Araiza lied to the Bills and the organization did not get all the facts. I don't blame the organization. Its ludicrous to think they can investigate this on their own.

Knowing what they know they should have cut him before the game. Even letting him fly home is wrong.

McD's reaction when asked about female members of Bills mafia was painful to watch. I've been a vocal critic of McD frequently on this board, but he generally looked broken in that press conference. I will have a new found respect for him when they release Araiza tomorrow.

Because he’ll be cut due to the position he plays rather than the actions he has reportedly undertaken. If I could believe a rookie first round QB would be treated the same way I’d more than willingly accept it. So many people saying “he’s just a punter…”

If he mislead the Bills he deserves to be cut. In fairness, my first post yesterday was questioning the front office decision making in cutting Haack and keeping Araiza when this was running in the background. And the front office should have fronted up before now - not released a mess of a statement then throw McDermott to the wolves.

Agree with how the bills handled it, which wasn't great

Personally I'd cut him because he is a rookie not because he is a punter. Id cut a rookie 1st round qb too

All this for a rookie punter who never started a friggin game. That is all I will add to the thread. High front office and Pegulas will make the final decision, it's really that easy. Ohh no, we might need a new need a punter..........

I fully expect this thread to be 250 pages when I wake up in the morning.

You won't like me if I'm disappointed.

It is remarkable how many people immediately assume guilt, and then get upset at people who refuse to do the same and actually wait for facts before deciding.

I see the assumption/ belief that he's guilty thing and him being on the team as two different things these days. The trial by media is real, in that there is too much of a distraction for the staff for him to be on the team anymore. I'm not making a judgement on what happened but accusations have a weight in organisations that mean they can no longer be employed.

I’m gonna head out, cause Simon is about to crack some skulls tonight. This ain’t twitter folks and it’s a good idea to proofread before hitting submit.

McDermott sure looked like he was ready to cut him and leave him in Charlotte.

He evaded every question.

How many times did he say "we have work to do"

Wtf does that even mean ?

Something about this world where a strong man of God like McDermott needs to listen to trash reporters try to bait him into ruining his career by asking low-ball questions.

"What do you have to say to the women!" says the male reporter.

did someone really ask that?  What a garbage question.

My opinion is that the Bills intend to cut this guy. But, they need to go through the league and the NFLPA to make sure they do it properly. McDermott sure looked like he was ready to cut him and leave him in Charlotte.

That doesn’t explain the statement from yesterday, though I suppose McDermott letting slip new information has been discovered over the past 24 hours might explain why they could have changed course.

Maybe I'm old-fashion, but I have an issue with anyone being punished based on accusations and assumptions alone.  Now if any part of this ends up being true I will immediately help yeet him out of town.

I think that they wanted to release him but due to the mishap statement made by the bills yesterday they felt like they had to prove something by not playing him. I think they were just trying to make a statement today by doing that. He will be cut along with the other players when they go down to 53 and they will sign Bojorquez due to familiarity

Get rid of this dude, I don't care how great he supposedly is. We don't need anything like this in our organization. Disgusting.

How about a star QB where something comes out about an incident during his college days?

You blamed the PR team for not cutting bait instead of the person in charge of cutting bait.

Gotcha.  I meant PR should have been knocking on doors telling the higher ups to cut bait. Because in the best case scenario, we eventually have a punter with a statutory conviction. I feel that their job is more than just deciding when kids day is and what kind of koozies to sell. And because honestly, I dont want to accept the scenario that the GM and Owner were told and did nothing.

McD sounds like he wants him off the team

Well if that's what he wants that's what should happen. If it gets to the point where there's dispute about that he can say I won't use him. I'll go for it on every 4th down and go for 2 every time if you put him on this roster.
