If the NFL can suspend you for something that happens in the off-season, why couldn't they suspend you for something that happens at practice?

I could be wrong, but I believe the off-season things for which players can get suspended by the NFL are:

1) run ins with the law or other public "conduct unbecoming" the Shield

2) drug tests

🤷‍♂️

What a scumbag. How can you be as big as that guy and need to use a weapon. He 100% should be suspended. I’d say the same thing if it was Josh Allen. He’s done a few other dirty things in the past.

little man syndrome 😤

As the team I'd suspend him internally. Why try to smash your teammates brains?

Was a joint practice with another team so not a teammate.  Using a helmet as a weapon has no excuse period.

I just took a quick read at the personal conduct policy and it says the NFL can suspend for basically anything lol. Honestly.

But more poignantly, it says "assault" and "even if the conduct does not result in a criminal conviction".

I don't care.  Let them bring their best and put them against our best.

I normally thing like this in regards to injuries. But when someone is being a scumbag, they deserve to be suspended.

he won’t though.

I don't think the NFL regulates player conduct during practices.

That is left to the discretion of the teams

He was swinging it at bengals players during a joint practice, so there’s a much better chance the league will actually step in

NFL will announce an investigation which will then take the entire season without any kind of real updates. Then they will announce a fine leading into 2023 season.

Sounds like the NFL has no oversight on discipline for joint team practices. Regardless ridiculous behavior on Donald’s part.

Where did you hear or see that?

NFL teams have suspended their own players for fighting in practice. I doubt McVay has the balls.
