This should be a lesson for everyone, including me. This is how the league works. Remember how we heard that Ford was having a good camp? The team was leaking good news to reporters, in anticipation of setting up a trade.

Cody Ford will be a career back up that gets starts due to injuries. There are a ton of Cody Ford's in the league. A 5th round pick sounds fair.Ā

Yes.....one that netted the Bills a 5th round pick instead of nothing!!

I believe Aaron Kromer and his skills as an offensive line coach improved him to the point of making him a trade commidity

But, but, butā€¦ I was told that Aaron Kromer had reformed him into a serviceable playerā€¦

Aaron Kromer turned him into a trade-able asset.

Doesn't forgive the original bad draft pick, but this is Beane at his best.

He was teammates with Kyler Murray in college.

He is going to be his personal shadow now. As in, he will stand near Kyler to provide shade as needed.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I think this locks in Bobby Hart's roster spot as a backup guard. He has apparently looked pretty good at that spot this offseason.

Surprised me that he looked better at G than T

And I remember most scouts had a first round grade on him, getting him in the 2nd was a steal. Now getting a 5th feels like a steal

As a tackle!

This isn't "robbery"

Ā

The Bills spent an early 2nd round pick on him. Overall, this was a loss. But that's how it goes sometimes in the NFL. They can't all be success stories.
