As it is, the demographic trend will more and more marginalize the GOP

Precision Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 (edited) It will be like the good old days when it took 4 million deutschmarks to buy a loaf of bread. The good news is we won't need wheelbarrows as we'll be able to pay with our deutschmark card, I mean debit card. LMAO That’s yet another patently ridiculous point. Once the Bill has passed it would be a dereliction of duty for congressional members not to lobby to allocate that some of those funds be spent in their home district or state….no matter which Party does it. 1

B-Man Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Janet Yellen admits Inflation Reduction Act, ‘at its core,’ isn’t about reducing inflation at all This past Sunday on “Meet the Press,” Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin noted that Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act has turned out to be very different from what he was sold on. Literally no one should be shocked that the Biden administration lied about this, least of all Joe Manchin, who may suck but knew exactly what he was getting when he voted for it last year. So we’d better not see Manchin on our screens next Sunday feigning shock at these remarks from Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen: “The Inflation Reduction Act is, at its core, about turning the climate crisis into an economic opportunity.” Well, duh. That’s all it was ever about. It was never about actually reducing inflation or easing the worsening financial strain on the American people as a result of the federal government’s recklessness with our money. It was about implementing a green agenda that would financially benefit members of the Biden administration like Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and make the public increasingly dependent on and beholden to the federal government. https://twitchy.com/sarahd-313035/2023/04/04/janet-yellen-admits-inflation-reduction-act-at-its-core-isnt-about-reducing-inflation-at-all/ . 1

One year ago today, President Biden signed the so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” into law. The legislation mostly consisted of green energy subsidies, healthcare subsidies, tax increases, and more funding for the Internal Revenue Service. Yet the President sold it to the public as a way to bring down the crushing inflation that continues to bankrupt the American people. (The typical U.S. family spent $709 more on monthly expenses last month, July 2023, than it did in July two years ago.) The president promised during the debate over the legislation that the Inflation Reduction Act was “the strongest bill you can pass to lower inflation, reduce costs, and tackle our climate crisis.” But, while the inflation rate has dropped significantly, many economists from across the political spectrum agree that the IRA has had essentially no impact on that decline, which is almost entirely due to other factors, including the expiration of COVID stimulus spending and the Federal Reserve’s changes in monetary policy.
