TBBills Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 (edited) We shall see... many good WRs on this roster. The team won't keep someone just b.c you like them. Somehow people think a team will keep someone if someone on the message board wants apparently... why else would they disagree. Edited August 14, 2022 by TBBills 1 2 3 1 3 Quote

PetermansRedemption Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 I can definitely see it happening. Diggs, Davis, Crowder, Shakir, Mackenzie, Hodgins 1 1 Quote
LabattBlue Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 If Hodgins is doing everything he should be in addition to catching the ball(route adjustments, run blocking, etc…) then yes, he should stay despite his inability to stay healthy to date. 1 Quote
Donuts and Doritos Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 Definitely earned a longer look against Broncos 1st team D next week to see. Most of his production was 2nd half against 2nd & 3rd string D. Also have to see how Kumorow & Crowder do next game. Quote

There are lots of factors - special teams role, availability, number of playbook roles, years left on rookie contract, etc. This is a jigsaw which there is no picture on box and many pieces are similiar. 1 1 Quote

atlbillsfan1975 Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 He probably would have been solidified on the roster if he could stay healthy. He has flashed potential each preseason. Let’s see how Crowder plays the next couple of games, it could come down to those two for the last spot. Quote

DCbillsfan Posted August 14, 2022 Posted August 14, 2022 Hodgins had a nice game yesterday. Did he play on special teams at all yesterday? It was difficult to tell watching on TV who most of the STs guys were. Quote

He might make the team but you don't HAVE to keep someone b.c they been on the roster and was drafted by the team. The reasons listed by the OP have no effect if he makes the team. None of what was listed matters, only if he is good enough. Edited August 14, 2022 by TBBills 1 Quote

Sure, but mostly he needs to be a threat to score points, imo its all part of Dorsey wanting every player to be a threat to score points, so Hodgins can be a backup point scorer, it all works👍. Go Bills!!! 1 Quote

Go Bills!!! nothing so far indicates Hodgins is better at that than any of the other 5th or 6th WRs that have rolled through Buffalo. The difference is that some of the others contributed elsewhere. That's how they keep a spot. Dorsey doesn't set the roster. 2 Quote
