We shall see... many good WRs on this roster.

The team won't keep someone just b.c you like them.

Somehow people think a team will keep someone if someone on the message board wants apparently... why else would they disagree.

We drafted him

we’ve been patient with him

We need to keep him

Always good to have tall receivers for red zone play and he would be the Bills tallest if he stays. Bills will have some tough decisions to make at the WR position

If Hodgins is doing everything he should be in addition to catching the ball(route adjustments, run blocking, etc…) then yes, he should stay despite his inability to stay healthy to date.

"Must" as in orginal OP is a big word.

There are taller WRs on roster including Jake Kumerow.

There are lots of factors - special teams role, availability, number of playbook roles, years left on rookie contract, etc.  This is a jigsaw which there is no picture on box and many pieces are similiar.

I can definitely see it happening.

Diggs, Davis, Crowder, Shakir, Mackenzie, Hodgins

Amazing that this is an excellent WR group and none of them were drafted higher than the 4th round.

The Bills may lean towards keeping the younger player

He probably would have been solidified on the roster if he could stay healthy. He has flashed potential each preseason. Let’s see how Crowder plays the next couple of games, it could come down to those two for the last spot.

He actually praised a player in the post game thread. I had to rub my eyes and read it again to make sure.

Who was it the water guy?

Yea they are confused. He might make the team but you don't HAVE to keep someone b.c they been on the roster and was drafted by the team.

The reasons listed by the OP have no effect if he makes the team. None of what was listed matters, only if he is good enough.

He needs to contribute on ST.

Sure, but mostly he needs to be a threat to score points, imo its all part of Dorsey wanting every player to be a threat to score points, so Hodgins can be a backup point scorer, it all works👍

Go Bills!!!

nothing so far indicates Hodgins is better at that than any of the other 5th or 6th WRs that have rolled through Buffalo. The difference is that some of the others  contributed elsewhere. That's how they keep a spot. Dorsey doesn't set the roster.
