UConn James Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 And if it wasn't readily apparent to Rian Lindell before, he's gotta know he's on the hot seat.
BillsFan Trapped in Pats Land Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 Oy. This guy muffs as many clutch kicks as Lindell. No thanks, I would rather have the devil I know.
todd Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 And if it wasn't readily apparent to Rian Lindell before, he's gotta know he's on the hot seat. 334384 He damn well better. Makes me glad that the Bills are at least exploring options to address the weakest position on the team.
col_forbin Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 DOUG BRIEN This is NOT the answer we are looking for at kicker. I'd rather hire a donkey kicking backwards than this sorry sack.
ch19079 Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 they have said they were interested in the Nudge. we all make fun of the jets for taking a kicker. i thaught the kicker was our weakest position.
Mark VI Posted May 12, 2005 Author Posted May 12, 2005 Brien has been cut by 3-4 teams for a reason. He is wildly inconsistent.
Guffalo Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 DOUG BRIEN I'd rather hire a donkey kicking backwards than this sorry sack. 334391 He is already signed with the Isotopes, but good call, he was accurate from 75 yards!
BillsFanForever19 Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 I say we bring in Brien and we bring in Matt Payne. We already have Pochman and Rheem on the roster. Cut Lindell! Let those four guys battle it out. There's gotta be someone compitent enough in that group to make Mularkey confident in his kicker, right?
brihs2005 Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 Anyone want to go and spend their work day looking at what kickers will be available on the FA market next season... i bet the best of the bunch will be our long term solution.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 What about Steve Christie or Martin Gramatica? Honestly, at least Gramatica has the talent to suceed in the NFL...much more than Brien does anyways. A change of environment (and not regulating him to kickoff duties like Indy did) might do wonders for him. Also, keep an eye out on Paul Edinger...he's likely to be cut by the Bears.
Rubes Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 Also, keep an eye out on Paul Edinger...he's likely to be cut by the Bears. 334549 There's a pretty darn good reason a team like the Bears will be cutting Edinger. Steer clear of that man.
MrLocke Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 You know what. Something TD does not get grilled for enough here IMO is not re-signing Shayne Graham and replacing him with Lindell. He has been solid for the Bungles. 3 out 4 from over 50 last year and 24 out of 27 last year.
HurlyBurly51 Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 I'd take Brien over Lindell any day of the week. 334550 Lindell never missed TWO extra point attempts in ONE game
The Jokeman Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 What about Steve Christie or Martin Gramatica? He hit 82.8 last season including 11 of 13 from 40 plus yards. Yet his stats could be skewed due to playing a majority of his games in a dome. In order they rank career wise: Brien 81.1% Christie 78% Gramatica 76.5% Lindell 76.2% Edinger 75.3%
