That said, I just don't think the team can afford Milano and a top 5 MLB contract. They have to pay Oliver and Knox soon followed by Davis. If they want a high priced MLB they will have to let Poyer leave and probably trade Milano at the end of the year. who’s to say Milano isn’t the odd man out and Bernard takes his place down the road. Many ways to manipulate this situation 1 1 Quote
BigDingus Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 I want him! Unless he doesn't come here... then he sucks & I never wanted him anyway. 1 Quote

blacklabel Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Sounds like the Bears low-balled him. I read that they actually inserted deescalators in his contract that would penalize him for certain things, which is something that typically isn't included in player contracts. He was offended by it, rightfully. The feeling in Chicago right now seems to be the new FO wants to tank this year and completely gut the team in 2023, Fields included. And Beane ain't trading for him. They love Edmunds. Quote

In Summary Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Do any of these guys who publicly call for a trade while calling out their own team ever come out ahead for doing so? Quote

I love Milano but he seemed to drop off last year. Let's see how he performs and if he can stay healthy. 23 minutes ago, Mr. WEO said: "I hope and pray you all can understand..." dje85 Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 No thanks, you guys hate Edmunds you'd hate Roquan even more lol Over rated player. Wants more than his worth. Even his own team currently playing this knows this. Hence this public statement. Quote

But the Bears gonna want picks, prolly a first. Smith is gonna want a bag, a big one. We don't really have either of those to dole out. A 1st next year will be in the high 20s+. Smith is a top ten pick, that would be an excellent trade. salary cap is fluid and only going up. Beane could find the money I’m sure Quote
Bigvinny Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 He's really good. I'm sure he would love to play in the number 1 defense Quote
