The seating bowl was horrible from day 1, and it makes you wonder if they asked for any input at all from the fanbase when designing it(Rigas era?).

Fast forward 25 years…the place is very dated…maybe even classified as a dump. The rumored renovation has been very quiet.   As far away from “very close” as possible. 😂

I believe they just did everything they can to fast-track the arena as well as cut costs.  It was a necessary evil at the time as without it, the Sabres would likely be in Dallas, Phoenix, Denver, Raleigh, etc...  It was also at a period of time where these arenas were popping up everywhere.  Many of them lack any sort of character (although they are all better-designed and higher quality than Keybank Center).  I liken it to the awful multi-use ballparks of the 60s and 70s.

As mentioned too, the sound is awful.  There is that bubble ceiling for some reason.

A renovation?  Im not sure what can be done to really salvage the place.  I dont think the city/county/state has much of an appetite for it, but the place should really be razed and built anew.

Meanwhile "The U" gets their stadium renderings.

That looks... pretty sweet actually.

Seriously though, if freaking Miami's college team gets a nicer stadium than us, I'm gonna be PISSED 😂

As long as they have nice perches and angles for some 8K cameras it can be a dump imo

And the giant net drops on all the thugs from the U. Kills two birds with one stone.

AND YET........ the character conscious Bills organization is full of Hurricanes.......with basically nobody from the Axis of pee-pee touchers...... Penn State, Ohio State, Notre Dame.

Yeah, honestly I've generally liked prospects from Miami. To be fair though, I think the Bills only have 2 on the roster? Duke Johnson and Groot. I could be wrong.

That Hurricanes stadium looks like a spaceship. I’m really excited to see what they come up with for us. Definitely looking forward to see how much of it is covered, if it’s a European soccer look where there’s just a open portion above the field, or something like what the Seahawks have.

I think it’s going to look pretty similar to one of those yes.

I think the title of this thread should be changed to We Will Never See Stadium Renderings

Lol, the fact that legacy networks haven't upgraded their cameras has nothing to do with the facility and everything to do with the fact that they spent 250k on cameras 7-10 years ago that suck compared to what you can get with 5k now.

Not to hijack the thread but while I can see missing Jaquan..........the new OC is a Hurricanes great.   Others have come and gone under McD as well.

What I like is that the Canes stadium has a little bit of the old Orange Bowl tied into all of it with the open end and the palms.

Always thought the Bills new stadium should have a water fall feature in one of the end zones..........a lot of fans hate the Niagara Falls shots every time the Bills play a home game(especially versus and NFC opponent) but they are one of the wonders of the world and its right here.
