My general guess is the sitting governor and crew asked for nothing to be announced until after so it doesnt bring up attention during the campaign. The majority of the state funds are actually just casino repayment from the Seneca's. 3

I'm not going to be comfortable until construction begins. Look at today's Bills coverage on the main page, the NY Post is at it again, bashing the deal and the governor. Last week in a column in the Albany Times Union a columnist threw in another dig against the deal. Face it, it's WNY against the rest of the state when it comes to the new stadium. This is how things seem to work in NY: there's an agreement, but it's not official until the agreement is agreed upon, then agreed upon again, then more negotiations, then an agreement. IMO silence is not good, but maybe there is a very good reason why it's practically like a stadium deal was never announced.
