Hamlin has passed him on he depth charts from what I have heard...he has been all over the place in training camp and has looked really good.

Nope. Johnson got time last week with the 1s. He will be the first guy in. Hamlin has had a nice camp but when they have rotated in with the 1s it has been Jaquan.

  I really think they already have been negotiating and I just get the sense Poyer isn't looking to try to break the bank here.  Now if the backups ball out and are up to the task of playing as well as Poyer has then Poyer may even be more inclined to sign a team friendly deal to get his ring.

This was a close call. If I was him I'd just take the preseason off. He didn't get his extension yet, no use chancing it
