YoloinOhio Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 It was a back surgery that he had in the off-season according to this article. The team had previously not disclosed. 3 Quote
Bruffalo Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 Hopefully he's having a smooth recovery. He's a tank of a human being with so much potential to be an excellent RT. 1 Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 (edited) Sucks that he couldn’t have a full offseason to work on improving as a player. Edited July 29, 2022 by Buffalo_Stampede 3 Quote
Matt_In_NH Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 Obviously we dont know the seriousness but back surgeries are generally not too good for football players. 1 1 Quote
hemma Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 I wondered about that injury and asked if it was his back on June the 4th. Someone posted that it was ‘knee scope minor’. Let’s hope he avoids reherniation. Tough injury for a tall guy. Quote
Royale with Cheese Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 I have no idea what type of surgery he had. I had back surgery in November 2021. I was full go in February 2022. 1 Quote
Andrew Son Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 Great, time for the TBD medical crew to get back on the case... 3 1 Quote
StHustle Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 🙏🏾 Tough injury to bounce back from. At least it happened when he is still very young. Let’s hope he can defy the odds and back issues will be a thing of the past for him. Quote

Saxum Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 I wonder why he did not have it earlier other than to avoid OTAs. 1 Quote
RyanC883 Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 Yikes. Hope he is progressing well. I'd imagine Bean is on this and will have a FA backup RT lined up to start in case Brown is unavailable. Quote
Process Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 Yea...im concerned about the RT spot. Even if he bounces back from the injury, we still don't know if he's actually a good starter or not. He was a mess at times last year. And depth across the o line is pretty poor. Quote

Saffold was an upgrade over williams. Morse will fit in well in this scheme. Dawkins with a full offseason. My concerns are on the right side - i like Brown and the upside, injury concern aside. Bates played well in limited snaps. But the depth... yeesh Ford, Quessenberry, Mancz, Van Roten, Hart. Boettger on PUP. 1 4 Quote

Seems like he was a mess after week 9 when he got hurt. That could explain why he appeared to drop off later i nthe season 1 hour ago, Bleeding Bills Blue said: Saffold was an upgrade over williams. O line is different, look at the snap counts, they play every snap unless hurt so many of these guys may never play barring injury. Yes the two starters still leave questions, but they also both have good upside and should improve with experience. As the article talked about Brown has something you can't teach size and speed.
