Trump inspired violence

What is is like to have one man dominate your mind the way he does? He must be a very special man for you to expend so much mental energy on him.

Lol, its a political message board. Why are you so obsessed with defending a criminal? Why does a criminal dominate your passions?

I always think of it as a branch of a Bills message board. So Tibs, on the dawn on another season…what do you think? Is this the year?

I just prefer a prosperous country over societal and economic smothering policy and mismanagement.

Sorry not sorry.

When Dick Cheney, the icon of conservative politics, believes Trump is a danger to the country, people should listen. I always knew Cheney sided with America, Trump does what’s good for Trump.

What type of shoe? How will it be prepared (fried, baked, roasted, etc.)?

i agree with this. if there was fraud by all means Republicans leaders need to put up the evidence and show what you got. its been 2 years! its not like the rnc doesnt have the money/power/ or means to conduct whatever investigation is necessary. instead they are relying on ordinary citizens to google evidence and come to conclusions based on accusations up to and including a riot at the capital that many including trump just left them holding the bag when the dust settled. that alone should disqualify rational republicans from assuming he is the great leader they thought he was. someone who fights for them. they missed the part the billionaire stepped up to pay all their legal fees or used any of his platforms to show the american people exactly why he keeps saying that other then broad "they cheated" statements. i really hope he steps aside. there is way to much baggage. alot from people being conned but also alot he created for no reason.

at the same time dems are loving stoking the flames further and then complaining (and of coarse also fundraising) that they alone represent democracy that people want. hilarious. my position has always been if you have half the country that has completely lost faith in the democratic process, why are you using all your power pushing some of the same type of blatent lies and villianization you are complaining about? opposing reasonable measures that secure this process isnt a good look. voter ID is as basic as it gets to security. the majority of the country thinks this. nahhh lets call them all racists and fight against something that has always been a basic requirement. mail in was a "necessity" even as the science in human form Fauci stated in person was perfectly safe. dems quick to ignore that one but happy to adhere to the other insane suggestions that ruined lives. so now the excuse is long gone but dems are still fighting to keep that going with no legitamate reason besides trying to maintain democrat power. the list goes on.

so dems are doing no favors when it comes to looking incredably corrupt on the topic as well. they are also doing a huge disservice when it comes to uniting anything or making reasonable concessions. voter turn out numbers in georgia after all the "racist jim crow 2.0 suppression" accusations have them looking like fools, but they carry on for power and media just keep echoing it looking just as foolish. the reality to independent americans is they look weak as F that they they have to push this stuff. i guess they feel they have no way to win on the acctual policies they make or they wouldn't be coming across as so desperate.

if either side truley cared they would blow it all up and get ranked voting in because this system is completely gutted and used as the main tool to have people at each others throats.

The question is: how do you prove fraud occurred if ID isn't being checked?  The answer is: you can't.  That's why I say that while we can't prove it happened, we can take steps to make sure it doesn't happen in the future, or at least as much.  But Dems are trying their best to prevent voter ID from being shown, for obvious reasons.

As for Trump, what does he owe the idiots who committed crimes on J6?  Their actions got him impeached.  And even if he did tell them to storm the Capitol and overthrow the government, they didn't finish the job.  Why would/should he bail them out?

As for the baggage, it's starting to get carried away.  Russian collusion was a hoax.  I think most people now believe that Joke and Hunter should have been investigated by Zelensky.  Joke did a worse job with Wuhan virus despite being handed a vaccine.  And J6 is failing to prove that Trump told people to become violent, much less break into the Capitol.

Now if I had my druthers, I'd rather he stepped aside.  But if he runs, no one's running against him and I'm certainly not voting for any of the schlubs the Dems will try and trot out there.

You absolutely can do voter verification without ID, just like you can do authentication in regular day-to-day things (like logging into your email) without photo ID. It depends on the state, but generally your voter record includes your name, address, signature and other pieces of data. It's why you have to know all of that information and provide your signature so they can validate before you vote (or in the case of mail-in ballots, it's checked when the ballot arrives). The idea that there are hordes of people out there who both know all of the data for everyone else including signatures, and are going around voting in other people's names is ridiculous and has never found to be true.

I think that voter ID laws would find broader support if they were crafted to solve a problem that actually exists and set up in a way to ensure people have easy access to the right to vote.

But about 10% of Americans do not currently have government issued photo IDs and many of the proposed laws are very specific in carving out certain people, such as not accepting photo IDs from state colleges but allowing other forms like hunting IDs. After Alabama enacted a voter ID law, they closed many DMVs in areas with a high proportion of black residents, making it harder for them to get the ID they need to vote. Many of these laws are not actually about preventing fraud, they're just to make it harder for the "wrong" people to vote.

Ultimately, any kind of bipartisan electoral reform will likely add a photo ID requirement to get GOP votes, but that should only happen if the IDs are both free and easily accessible. Otherwise, it's just making it harder for the people to exercise their franchise.
