Latest Lincoln Project ad stokes presidential paranoia, suggests snitch sparked Mar-a-Lago raid

The ad will broadcast only in the New Jersey market where Donald Trump is staying now.
Trolling former President Donald Trump, a new Lincoln Project ad raises questions about who from his inner circle snitched. The ad will be broadcast in the Bedminster, New Jersey market, where Trump stayed as FBI agents searched his Mar-a-Lago estate.

“Who was it, Donald?” a female narrator asks. “Who gave you up to the feds?”

A second woman’s voice chimes in and whispers more directly: “Who squealed?”

The one-minute spot features newsreel footage of the raid on Trump’s Florida home.

It also shows pictures published first by Axios and featured in a new book on Trump by New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman. The photographs show clumps of papers with hand-written notes reportedly being flushed down a toilet. The images seem to confirm reports from February that Trump frequently would stuff sensitive documents in White House toilets to dispose of them.

But the ad notes that’s not what the raid in Florida this week sought out. The FBI reportedly seized 15 boxes of papers found at the Trump estate.

“No, not that stuff,” the main narrator states. “The classified documents; 15 boxes of top secret files.”

“That’s naughty Donald,” the whispering woman chimes in.

“Someone who you trusted betrayed you,” the ad states. “Now you’re the first President to have his home raided by the FBI.”

“The rats are jumping ship and Donald is realizing he can’t trust even his own family. He knows he taught his kids that blood doesn’t matter if prison is on the line,” said Reed Galen, co-founder of the Lincoln Project. “Donald knows the calls are coming from inside the house and he’s running out of time to figure out who it is.”

he also just claimed that the fbi told him in June to add a second lock to the room where the documents were. A room the fbi had seen and then went to during the raid

ah you trust what Trump and his team says?

Defund the police....defund the FBI.... what's next?

It sounds like the plan is to defund successful middle class Americans.  Oh, and student loan reimagining for the financially capable but obligation resistant.

The FBI isn't corrupt!

Most secure election in US history!

Your masters have you trained so well.

That's because these ass clowns in our government think violent rhetoric is acceptable when expressed by people they support when its directed at somebody they don't particularly like.  But when the target's on their back, suddenly the outrage dial gets turned up to 10.

Remember, nobody is above the law, except them!

Almost 80% of Americans agree we have a tiered justice system in a recent poll

The fbi has been to the house a bunch of times to discuss the documents. This is common knowledge. They knew he had them and likely said well at least lock them up better so they can’t be taken.

it’s also very common for presidents to take documents. The Obamas took over 30 million documents with a promise to digitize them and make them public. Guess what? They never made them public.

Trump was given a inventory of everything that was searched for and removed.

Inventory. An officer present during the execution of the warrant must prepare and verify an inventory of any property seized. The officer must do so in the presence of another officer and the person from whom, or from whose premises, the property was taken.

Receipt. The officer executing the warrant must give a copy of the warrant and a receipt for the property taken to the person from whom, or from whose premises, the property was taken or leave a copy of the warrant and receipt at the place where the officer took the property.

Inventory: We took boxes of paper.

I think this is something that would be litigated all the way to the Supreme Court, and I would presume Trump would win if that was the case. winning a national election from a jail cell though.. different story.  im sure the fascists (his supporters) would still vote for him

that said, there are plenty of other ways this ends with him not being able to run for office again that has nothing to do with removal of classified documents.

18 USC 793E

These are very bad people.  You are mislabeling who the Fascists are here (as has happened throughout history).

Nazis (Socialists)

Mussolini (Socialist)

USSR (Union of Soviet SOCIALIST Republics)

Cuba (Socialists)

Venezuela (Socialists)

The only real "Fascist" state is North Korea, that's really undefinable...the Middle East non-free societies are just religion-based.   All Totalitarian regimes in the West erupt from Socialism, which we are hurtling toward.

I understand the Leftist/Liberal mind is incapable of understanding this

I'm quite confident that you don't have the slightest clue what you're talking about.

Rule of Law, Freedom, Personal Responsibility, SMALL State, LESS Government, YOUR Money, YOU Earn It, WE leave you alone, WE DON'T tell you what to do, WE DON'T over-react to a standard cold/flu virus...

These are the opposite of Totalitarian/Fascist principles

Again, I appreciate that Leftists/Liberals can't comprehend this

Amen.

Maybe FBI Director Christopher Wray and the rest of the FBI brain trust think that the agency’s ability to effectively enforce the law and provide for the nation’s security is built on its near limitless power to coerce, punish, intimidate, and spy on us. If so, they really need to get out of the office and, as we used to say in the old days, “hit the bricks and knock on doors” with the street-level agents. If they did that, they might belatedly comprehend the vital importance of having the trust, respect, confidence, and cooperation of the great unwashed and unwoke public without which the FBI cannot effectively do its job.

Please stop with this BS.

There is only one party in this country on a path towards fascism and it is yours.

Look at all the pathetic laws red states are passing today to transform America (right @Doc?)

Your cult literally went into a teenage girls Facebook to see if she had an abortion  and prosecuted her.

Your cult is passing laws to white wash history.

Own it - your party is on a trajectory to be just like Cuba.

Monaco, as I explained here, is an Obama confidante who played a key role in perpetuating the myth about Russian collusion both before and after the 2016 election. The former chief of staff to Robert Mueller when he headed Obama’s FBI and then Obama’s homeland security advisor, Monaco has been a harsh critic of Trump and Republican policies over the past four years. She backs a “whole of government” approach to combating domestic terrorists, code for Americans who support Donald Trump.

How would he know? He wasn't even in the state of Florida. Have you been watching any of this?

Is this a serious question?  It’s all stuff he brought to Mar a Lago from the WH. .  He knows exactly what they were coming for,

Everyone who is raided by the GBI knows exactly what they were looking for….

Trump is in New York. I’m pretty sure he won’t know what they took until he gets home…if even then. I just moved my own house. There are tons of boxes in my garage. When I start unpacking I’m almost certain it’ll be years before I figure out that one of them was missing, and all I have is a bunch of old crap that NOBODY wants. What do you think is written on the box? “Secret Incriminating Stuff”? You also know that the President doesn’t personally pack up his office, right? I doubt he even knows what’s in most of the boxes.

Two months before his Florida home was raided by the FBI, former President Donald Trump secretly received a grand jury subpoena for classified documents belonging to the National Archives, and voluntarily cooperated by turning over responsive evidence, surrendering security surveillance footage and allowing federal agents and a senior Justice Department lawyer to tour his private storage locker, according to a half dozen people familiar with the incident.

While the cooperation was mostly arranged by his lawyers, Trump personally surprised the DOJ National Security Division prosecutor and three FBI agents who came to his Mar-a-Lago compound on June 3, greeting them as they came to pick up a small number of documents compliant with the subpoena, the sources told Just the News, speaking only on condition of anonymity because the visit was covered by grand jury secrecy.

”I mean, the idea that he was subject to a subpoena, complied with a subpoena, didn't challenge it, voluntarily showed the storage room to the agents, followed their advice, secured it to meet their demands. All of that is hardly a basis for saying now we need to send in 40 FBI agents on a on a raid,” he added. “I mean, if the subpoena worked the first time, then presumably a second subpoena would work the second time if there were remaining documents.”
