He was a big time recruit in HS but had a bunch of injuries in college

Jordan is a name that can go both ways. Now the challenging part is to figure out what pronoun to use for her him it? Maybe The Bearded Lady would work. Did the carpet match the drapes?

Never met a female named Jordan who wasn’t hot

Saffold worries me. Just a couple of weeks ago folks were acting like Guard is a done deal with Bates and Saffold, yet Saffold is 34 years old and has never played a down for the Bills. I haven't quite understood why some seem to think he's just going to step in and be a healthy, guaranteed lock, so good signing I guess. Guard is an uncertain weakness.

When I was a senior, there was a sophomore girl named Jordan Simmons that was just beautiful.  I don't think this is the same person.

Goddamn you Royale, you never fail to somehow make laughing so effing painful!!!

I literally think I ruptured something inside of me this time!

😅😅😅

Because he’s been a good player on his previous teams? It’s really early

Yeah sure, that is all correct, but he's also not young and has no Buffalo track record to speak of. I guess I was just caught off guard recently by the assumed certainty that he would just step right in and be fine, nothing to worry about folks. I think it's a position of concern.

I was also caught off guard the first that I heard of this was whenever McDsaid it in the press conference

But we’re still in the off-season and to be perfectly honest we need to sort out our back up guard situation so this could be a blessing in disguise

Concerning Saffold & rib injuries, rib injuries can take a considerable amount of time to heal, any doctors in the house that could narrow down the average time for a couple or few ribs to heal up enough fora NFL linemen to be able to play effectively???

Go Bills!!!

Im just scanning and think Don you have you’re answer.  FWIW I’ve broken ribs and severely bruised ribs before.  I work on medicine, but not a doctor.  When I used to call on pain specialists and Orthos, they typically will tell you as short as 3 weeks for severely bruised, and up to 6-8 weeks for broken ribs and bruising or tearing of the tendons.

The part that sucks is breathing, sleeping, laughing, coughing, all sucks for awhile.  They are probably giving him some pain meds, and for the bruising and inflammation, I had to jump in ice baths.  Yeah, that’s a lot of fun.  It’s worth it though even though so few people actually ice injuries as much as they are supposed to do to work.

I don’t even tell anyone RICE (rest, ice, compression, and elevation) as no one does it.  I do because I believe in it.

He has a Kromer track record

only thing that concerns me is injury history. He’s not that old for a guard.

that’s a pretty disingenuous statement.
Recovery time is much more complex than pain tolerance. Severity of the injury is probably the most important, but other considerations would include which ribs, how many ribs, the location of the fx, the age of the individual etc.

How was my statement "disingenuous?" I don't think the word means what you think it does.  Of course, broken ribs take time to heal.  No one is saying otherwise.  But your level of activity during the recovery period comes down to your pain tolerance.  These aren't dangerous injuries.  They heal on their own.

This is a valid point.  Just like a team needs to take constant shots at landing a franchise Qb until they have one, those teams that do should always be looking for upgrades in protecting that Qb.  Even if Saffold pans out it doesn't hurt to have seen what other vet players can bring.  Maybe he does enough to win a backup role on the team.  Or he wins a ps spot.  Ps spot can lead to a new contract with Bills or another needy club so it's certainly better than sitting on the couch waiting for a call. So win win if he has any skill that meshes with our team.

I don't see him having played on a team with Kromer as ol coach.  Now he may have been offered a tryout because kromer has seen him play against his teams and maybe sees he could fit.

And so upgrading even the backup spots is wise.

I broke 21 of the 24 in one event.

Five needed titanium joints.

He'll be OK.

Just don't sneeze.

That’s the truth!!!

Never cracked that many brother, so you win the prize.  Unfortunate happenstance to crack a couple a couple of times and then severely bruise a couple of times.

Mama shrouds taught me better, but I know the pain.  I feel for the guy.  Good news is bones heal and sometimes stronger than the originals.
