Well the "opiate of the masses" was stronger than before. Isn't that life begins at conception argument mostly a religious argument?

Neither I nor you have any idea what causes people to believe that life begins at conception.

In no way does that diminish the view.

While I have no view on it, I do know that when my wife informed me of her three pregnancies, we viewed them as "lives." at that very instant.

Ergo, I respect the views of those who believe that.

What I would never do, and you have done, is celebrate the issue because it leads to election results you are favorable of.

That, sir, is despicable.

NPR is taking some heat in the replies for calling these “abortion pills” — they’re “morning-after pills” — even if the woman behind the campaign and the billboards themselves use “abortion pills” to advertise their wares. Funny that abortion activists would care if they technically prevent a pregnancy or end one, though, isn’t it? But treatment for a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy is an abortion, or so they insist.

We know that NPR has staffers dedicated to covering abortion, but in this case, they’ve turned the mic over to Mississippi Public Broadcasting.

They just can’t hide it … they love abortion.

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody won a victory for life Tuesday when a federal judge said the state may defund the billion-dollar abortion chain Planned Parenthood.

“[I’m] proud to secure a victory in our case about whether Floridians should be forced to fund Planned Parenthood. The court reinstated what the legislature passed in 2016—a ban on state funds supporting clinics that provide abortions,” Moody said in a statement.

The March 7 order from U.S. District Judge Robert L. Hinkle ends a permanent injunction that blocked the law for more than six years.

{snip}

However, when the law goes into effect, it will not cut taxpayer funding for healthcare. Instead, it will redirect that money to clinics that offer real medical care and not elective abortions that kill unborn babies. (And there are hundreds of Free clinics throughout the state)

Many of Planned Parenthood’s non-abortion services have been declining rapidly over the past decade, according to its own annual reports. Meanwhile, its abortion numbers have been steadily increasing, and Planned Parenthood reported a record 383,460 abortions in 2020.

In Florida, 74,868 unborn babies were aborted in 2020, according to state health statistics.

Oh come on.  Got your full culture warrior gear on.  I've not seen him celebrate abortion.  It's a legitimate issue that widely separates the 2 parties.  Some people choose to vote primarily on this issue.

Really?

You have misstated what I said, even though you quoted it.

I never, ever said anyone celebrated abortion.

I said "celebrate the issue because it leads to favorable election results."

What do you 'spose thee quotes from that individual imply?

Nov 10:  Abortion will still be a hot topic in 2024. Dems can work referendums into several key battleground states to pump up the margins "

Sep 13: "sounds good to me, hopefully this will be the GOP's big ticket promise for the midterms! You can do it!!!"

Sep 13: "Good! let's hope the GOP really doubles down hard on this"

NOV 13:  You anti-abortion people really screwed the GOP over. Keep up the good work! "

Feb 14:  "Any GOP nominee for presidency will have to get down on their knees and promise the anti-Abortion people they are true believers.

Heavy cross to bear in a general election.  Good"

Feb 14: "Pro-choice, a good look

 A winner on election day

Sep 1: "Well...I'm pretty sure you guys just handed Democrats a winning issue

I stand by this.  It's a highly political and polarizing topic.  people are passionate on both sides.  None of those quotes are despicable imo given his obvious pro choice stance.
