BobbyC81 Posted July 15, 2022 Posted July 15, 2022 Anybody know why the Bills are starting training camp so early? The Raiders also start on 7/18 but they play in the Hall of Fame Game. Over the last few years, the Bills seemed to be one of the last teams to open camp. Maybe the availability of St John Fisher? 1 Quote

Because they play in the first regular season game. The NFL allows them and the Rams to open camp earlier than others. 3 Quote

The first regular season game is only 3 days before all the other teams play, not counting Monday night. Not exactly a reason for the Bills to start training camp earlier. If they were in the Hall of Fame game, then it would make more sense to start earlier. Quote
unbillievable Posted July 15, 2022 Posted July 15, 2022 I always wondered why the NFL has required adult sleepovers. Quote

TC start is based on a certain # of days before each team’s first game. Bills rookies actually report Monday 7/18 … but no practices until morning of 7/24 Quote

It’s only the rookies and probably conditioning drills and some basic classroom time. Not really a big deal. The team starts like pretty much everyone else. Quote

May be the Bills are spreading out their total number of practices over a longer period of time....You know it is Summer! Quote
