On the NHLN yesterday they were mentioning that UFA Nazem Kadri would be a nice fit for the Sabres. He's a good player who can score and the Sabres can certainly use more of that.

Coming off an absolute career year so looking for a huge deal and he's like 33 so I'd say no thanks to that.

After picking Ostlund at 16, the Sabres immediately tried to trade up to 17 for Kulich and attempted 6 trade ups in total before he eventually fell to them at 28.

I never know if comments like this are supposed to make the team look good or bad.

 

Good: They got a guy at 28 they thought was top 18.

Bad: They tried to take a guy at 18 who went 28th instead.
