Josh should easily be top 5

Well considering Burrow was ranked 21, you know the vote took place after the playoffs so I can’t see how we can’t be top 5

Correct (Chargers have 8 and 49ers have 7). The 49ers have 4 of the top 25!! Bosa at 25, Kittle at 22, Deebo and Trent Williams still to come.

I can sort of see that with the Chargers: Herbert, Bosa, Mack, James, Jackson, Allen, Williams and Eckler I presume? To a lesser extent with the 9ers. I get those four top 25 guys to an extent, but who are their other 3? Warner presumably.... who else?

Warner (47)

Juszczyk (100)

Ward (96)

Strange… he’s arguably the best QB in the league so he should at least be top 3…. to not have him even top 10 is ridiculous.

I found it quite surprising as well. It looks like Brady (players love him), Mahomes and Rodgers will all be ranked ahead of him. Aaron Donald is obviously in the top 10 as well. It’ll be interesting to see the other players ranked ahead of him. How many WRs (Kupp, Adams, Jefferson, Hill and Deebo haven’t come on yet)? Taylor AND Henry? Jalen Ramsey? TJ Watt? Trent Williams? Kelce? Myles Garrett?

That’s crap if so.  He was 10th last year and showed more consistency by repeating another solid performance.  It’s kind of why I just take these things with a grain of salt.

I mean, there's nearly 1,700 active players across the NFL, so being "ONLY" #11 is insanely impressive.

What matters more to me is who is placed ahead of him.

Josh is already ranked ahead of both the SB winning QB & the runner up QB from the AFC. He's obviously going to be behind Rodgers, Mahomes & Brady (which is fine to me), so who else do they have ahead of him?

It's the players voting, so it's based on who they have the most respect for. My top 10 guess (in no particular order):

1. Aaron Donald

2. Aaron Rodgers

3. Derrick Henry

4. Tom Brady

5. TJ Watt

6. Patrick Mahomes

7. Davante Adams

8. Travis Kelce

9. Jalen Ramsey

10. Cooper Kupp

We still don't have Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill, Myles Garrett, Trent Williams, Jonathan Taylor (I'd put him in top 10 over Henry at this point, but guessing players didn't), Micah Parsons or Deebo listed yet either. So if Allen is #11, these 10 are who I'd guess might be ahead of him.

I believe the NFL top 100 is voted on some time in late November/early December. Allen didn't go full God mode until the Pats away game and obviously took it to yet another level in the playoffs. Just from the Chiefs divisional game alone he will probably end up higher on the list next year even if he puts up the exact same regular season stats.

Correct.  They voted around the time the Bills were at 7-6 or 8-6.  No way is he out of the top 10 if they voted after the Chiefs loss.

This top 100 lost me when Von Miller was 93 and Mac Jones was 85.  Absolutely ridiculous!

Mac & Cheese isn't even a top 200 player right now

1. Donald
2. Rodgers
3. Mahomes

4. Allen

5. Brady

Not sure this is correct-no way does Burrow or Chase get ranked that high if the vote was before the playoffs

I would argue he was way less consistent last year, as a whole, compared to 2020. I get your argument for consistency is hmm having 2 good years in a row. I guess what I’m saying is last year in and of itself had more ebbs. But, with that being said, he also went completely nuclear in the playoffs last year and had arguably the best 2 game stretch ever. So does anyone know when the voting actually happens?

Stank the voting already happened.  The results come out I think this weekend.  Remember as you know as you’re a vet, it’s just a player popularity contest.  That’s all.

For me All Pros and MVP,  OPOY, and DPOY, ROY, are significant compliments and have substance.  The rest is just well?
