Especially when some guy who used to do the job tells you. (Cap management skills might be a reason why.) Humans have a real problem historically with thinking things they don’t understand are not real, it is a window into the overall level of cognitive prowess of the species…, conversely just look at the manure pile of things humans think are real…, damn frightening frankly…, 2 Quote

The cap is not fake but it soft and can be manipulated to a point. But it is real not fake. As polian says. The cap does not forget and does not forgive. I can promise you there will be no day of reckoning until Josh retires. They will keep moving around cap until that day. Yes we’ll see some older players let go but that’s just as much about age as it is cap. What’s interesting is the original post talking about cash over cap. Maybe people remember the old Russ Brandon cash to cap term. That was only spending cash up to the cap. The Bills and Browns of all teams have been the highest spending teams in terms of cash the last 5 years or so. Just a ton of cash over cap being spent by Pegula. It won’t stop either. Being $40 million over turns to $40 million under easy. But you need cash rich owners like Pegula. We should all be very grateful. There will be a lot of turnover this year due to age mostly, but because of Pegula, Beane will be able to replace those players. 1 Quote

According to this, for 2024 the Bills are at $212M which for this year for cash which puts them significantly under the cap number. That can and will go up but not sure if they will get to the cap number for 2024. All the dead cap is cash that was spent in previous years. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cash/ Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted April 5 Posted April 5 that's why it's always amusing seeing TBD posters break out their green plastic visors every year to count the pennies Quote
