They just can't say sexually promiscuous gay men are at the highest risk of contracting and spreading monkey pox.  And avoiding that behavior, at least for a limited duration of time, is the best method to avoid the virus.  We don't need experts to know this, just a little common sense and observation of reality.

The thing is, we can say it, think it, and know it.  Which makes the experts look like idiots while they play their game of make-believe science driven by political science.

They actually did that in the early-80s with HIV and gay men didn't listen.  They weren't going to be told what to do.

Ever read “And The Band Played On”? The author gives the gay community too much credit but if you read between the lines you can tell that cynical gay-centric politics made the AIDS epidemic what it was.

Why does everyone need to be worried about Monkeypox?

Ask all the closet case married guys who cheat on their wives with men.  You know, like those GQP men getting frisky in airport bathrooms and religious freaks in open relationships with other men.

Yea, keep stigmatizing gays - so on brand for you.

So cute to see the libs all up-in-arms when they had no problem saying people who didn't get vaccinated got what they deserved.  You want compassion, try start using it yourself.

feelings over facts...and puss filled pustuls i guess.  😒

if i were a country that say was hostile towards the US. its pretty clear its a great time to release the worst virus you have on hand if you have secretly made a cure. the citizens have great reason to have zero confidence in any guidance given. the scientists that are prescribing this guidance are more concerned about politicizing it and the gov does not seem to care about investigating who, what, when, where, or why it originated. as the population squabbles amongst itself and officials figure out how to manufacture a culture war while bumbling into walls.  the eneny can sit back and watch the annihilation.

This has already happened

Like Monkeypox - COVID doesn’t discriminate.

An anecdote from my wife the pediatrician when seeing  a teenage girl with her mom this week. A data point showing the effectiveness of the government/media/big tech hysteria machine.

Her text to me...

Just had a mom (who adamantly refuses gardasil) ask when we are getting the monkeypox vaccine.

Edit to add: gardasil is the HPV vaccine.

And this surprises us because 🤔 ? Most of this kind of stuff starts with parenting (read the above text reply in the prior post) giving information that is relevant to making sound common sense decisions seems to no longer exist so do you blame the kids or the parents ?

He took a wide stance.  Nothing more, nothing less.  (That excuse was a hoax before hoaxes were invented.)

Sex between men, not skin contact, is fueling monkeypox, new research suggests.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna43484

Quote

Since the outset of the global monkeypox outbreak in May, public health and infectious disease experts have told the public that the virus is largely transmitting through skin-to-skin contact, in particular during sex between men.

Now, however, an expanding cadre of experts has come to believe that sex between men itself — both anal as well as oral intercourse — is likely the main driver of global monkeypox transmission. The skin contact that comes with sex, these experts say, is probably much less of a risk factor.

Glad we could clarify this.

Oh, are we asking these questions? How about the dogs that are contracting it?

Woodchipper, indeed.
