Von Miller wanted to go to the Cowboys prior to signing with Bills

Aaron Donald said that he'd play again if they can "run it back." He seemed to know then that LA wasn't keeping the band together and I assumed he was giving himself an out for his retirement talk he alluded to the whole playoffs.

The fact that the Bills sweetened the deal I can’t blame them guys who have over 100 sacks and are still at the top of their profession don’t come around too often. 
 

Dallas is a terribly managed franchise. 

 

Yeah, he seemed to think he was going to be a Bill for sure in '11.  If only.

Exactly.  It’s likely unless he’s an thks tic freak we’ll have him for three excellent years and then his play will start to diminish and we’ll cut or reduce his comp.  That’s three years of solid Edge Rushing performance.  Sign me up for $17.3 mil./yr.

Whether he'd have gone somewhere for the same money isn't "the" question, it's one of many someone might ask if he was curious. And what we know here gives not the slightest clue about how interested Miller was, with the exception that if he really was interested he probably would have called Jerry Jones rather than DeMarcus Ware.

 

This is a horrible headline because there's nothing to back it up. It's like looking at the sky, seeing it's grey, and with no further evidence writing a headline that we're having a blizzard.

 

This was most likely the football equivalent of Robert Shaw throwing chum off the back of the boat.

Doesn’t basically every kid who grows up playing football “want” to play for the Cowboys?  It’s kind of like playing baseball and wanting to be a Yankee.  Just one of those things.  And then you grow up.

 

Miller is from Texas.  It makes complete sense he’d think about finishing his career in Dallas, and doesn’t move the needle one bit for me as to his motivation/dedication now that he is a Buffalo Bill.

 

Pretty much a non-story aside from Cowboy fans’ wet dreams of what could have been.

Yeah........it's a team that was local to him in his home state and the second most high profile organization in pro sports(behind them Yankees, of course).

 

It's like being from Rochester and wanting to play for the Bills.........except, if the Bills also had a case full of Lombardi Trophies and were guaranteed tons of prime time games etc..

 

So not sure why anyone can't understand why Dallas might have been his first choice.    He's got 2 SB wins.......it's not like he needed to join the betting favorite because he was ringless and running out of time.

 

It's an issue for @Thurman#1 though.........he has to dismiss it for some reason even though Miller has literally expressed repeatedly that he was torn between the fanless Rams organization and taking bigger money from the Bills.

We were not a dominant defense regardless what the numbers say.  (beat up on some sorry ass teams)  We have made significant upgrades on the D line.  And added a very athletic CB in the first round to replace our weakest link on the defense.  We should be a better overall unit.  And we will need to be with the schedule we have.  Can't wait.  Just about 3 months to go!!
