billsfan89 Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Good competition for that 6th WR spot and for a returner you could do worse than kicking the tires. 4 Quote
Mark Vader Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Have we reached the roster limit of 90 yet? 2 Quote

Sammy Watkins' Rib Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Confused by this signing to be honest. Seems like a waste of both Austin's and the Bills time. Stevenson seemed like a possible cut candidate before this signing. So Austin still seems like a good possibility to be cut as well. But I get it from Austin's view point. He's signing with a contender that doesn't have a returner set in stone. I'm just not sure the Bills would keep him for only return capabilities. He'll need to prove he can do some things on offense too. 1 Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Weird move.  Also, news to Me that Austin is still in the league. A top-10 pick in one of the worst draft classes in recent memory. 4 Quote
Allen2D̶i̶g̶g̶s̶TBD Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 I thought we were already set at slot receiver with Crowder, McKenzie, and Shakir.  The fact that we're adding veteran depth may mean the Bills don't have high hopes for players at the bottom of the depth chart like Marquez Stevenson and Isaiah Hodgins (who is still yet to have a single catch for the Bills because of injuries) Quote

The roster is now full.  37 minutes ago, John from Riverside said: bye Stevenson   He had an uphill climb to make the roster before this move IMO. He was drafted extremely low and was brought in strictly to Return. He showed a proclivity to Fumble and did not impress when he didn't. He had some speed, but they NEVER put him on the field at WR. Even when we had guys banged up. That spoke volumes to me. Edited June 3, 2022 by BillsFanForever19 1 1 Quote
Hebert19 Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Good signing.   Depth at WR, returner, and good for gimmick plays.   Means McKenzie may get more actual WR snaps and the rookie is also some depth there. 4 Quote
Airseven Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 Can he play OL?? Had to.  Good camp depth especially assuming they’re already giving up on Stevenson. 3 Quote

HappyDays Posted June 3, 2022 Posted June 3, 2022 In the only two OTAs attended by Bills reporters, Marquez Stevenson has had a lot of drops. I guess Tavon Austin takes over his role as a long shot to make the roster as a return specialist. Just shuffling the cards at the bottom of the deck. 3 2 Quote
