Nextmanup Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Sure, his career in Buffalo wasn't very long, and he will never be associated with only one team... But can you think of a more popular Buffalo Bill ever? 1 1 1 1 5 1 Quote
FireChans Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Legitimately no, not even close and I love Fitzy. Fred and Kyle are way more deserving. 8 8 Quote

I would suggest Fitz is as popular as any of those names. He gets top score for that; others do too, but no one is "more loved" IMO. 5 minutes ago, FireChans said: Legitimately no, not even close and I love Fitzy. Fred and Kyle are way more deserving. What is your standard for appearing on the Wall? You say not even close. Why? 1 1 1 Quote
RocCityRoller Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 The wall isn't a popularity contest. OJ is on it. It is for excellence on the field as a Buffalo Bill. Some of you need to raise your standards IMO. Watch some games from prior eras, or other current teams to get some perspective. 1 3 Quote

Maybe Someday Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 No. So many more deserving players than him. Everyone loves Fitz as a person but putting him on the WOF is a little ridiculous imo. Quote
Rico Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 No one from the Drought Era please. Butch Byrd, absolutely. 6 Quote

I've been watching since the '70s. And actually, the selection criteria (according to the Buffalo Bills organization) is: The Buffalo Bills Wall of Fame was created in 1980 to honor former players, administrators and coaches who have played significant roles in the team's history. Rather open ended, isn't it? And I'm sure intentionally so. It does have a 3 year minimum limit on players. Fitz was with the Bills for 4 seasons. Edited June 2, 2022 by Nextmanup 1 Quote
ChasBB Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Probably not, but if a PLAY could be on the Wall of Fame, I'd take that cross-body block he threw ... never afraid to mix it up! Quote

K D Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 his overall career would have been good enough but he didn't play long enough in Buffalo imo 1 3 Quote
Milanos Milano Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Him and Fredex deserve it. Anybody that plays like they did on a subpar team and actually make it worth watching deserves some credit. If we are judging by pure talent alone, then no. But I honestly believe there needs to be a sub wall of fame somewhere on the stadium that is dedicated to heart, because I can’t think of many other players as well deserving as those two during the suck era. NoHuddleKelly12 Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 From purely a football skills related set of criteria in a Bills uniform, and not based on a personality/popularity contest, I don’t think Fitzy would belong on the Wall. There was a reason ultimately that the Bills let him walk that soon after he signed for big $$. 3 Quote
Greg S Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Kyle and Fred should be on it. Fitz probably not. Quote
