Nextmanup Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Should be one heck of a game today. Any thoughts on how it will go down? Check out the Liverpool "Fan Zone" in Paris! You'll never walk alone indeed! Will Carlo Ancelotti be the first manager ever to win the Champions League twice, with two different teams? Quote
LeGOATski Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 My money is on Liverpool. But I'm biased because I've always been a fan. Quote
LeGOATski Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 The situation outside the stadium seems very crooked. Just strange at the least. Quote
BillsIsrael Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Was a good game (not great) - Great display of goaltending Quote
RaoulDuke79 Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Being a Liverpool fan, a potentially great season just turned mediocre in a hurry. Hats off to Courtois. He was the man of the match for sure. Madrid has Liverpools number unfortunately. 2 hours ago, LeGOATski said: The situation outside the stadium seems very crooked. Just strange at the least. I watched the match with two avid Man U supporters. They rooted heartily for Real Madrid Edited May 29, 2022 by LewPort71 Quote
Nextmanup Posted May 29, 2022 Author Posted May 29, 2022 The stuff going on before the game started was overblown and not a big deal---though I can see why fans in line would have been upset, and why they needed to delay the start as they did. That part was well handled. I thought the game itself was a total disappointment. Liverpool did well to control play and have lots of touches, but they struggled to turn that into true goal scoring opportunities. And when they had a few chances, they blew it. Real Madrid played an almost perfect game in terms of what they were trying to achieve. Overall, very forgettable game. As a Serie A/Italian national team fan, I did enjoy the random shot showing Fabio Cannavaro sitting in the crowd and looking like he could have played in the game yesterday. Love that guy. Quote
