A few guys on my hs team would puke before games also. I always thought it was weird. It was always right before kickoff. They had to take him off the kickoff team even though he was one of our best players.

Actually this is the anecdote I was thinking of:

With whispers of a sample size greater than zero games, and so many early/1pm starts, especially, Jim Kelly (along with an incredibly accomplished cohort of teammates) was likely still sporting a BAC above zero at kickoff, and/or operating on an alarmingly acute sleep deficit. I'm sure some of the stories about 80s/90s Bills player pre-game "nerves" are legitimately funny.

Not a pleasing subject, to say the least.

 

It's not very clear from the clip if the puking started in college or it went from just feeling gaggy in college to the full blow thing in the pros.

 

I assume they got him checked and this won't develop into a Seantrel Henderson type of thing.
