The award is named for Zimmerman, who covered the NFL for 29 years as Sports Illustrated’s lead pro football writer. His impact on the writing and football industries was profound. Zimmerman is widely considered one of the best football writers of all time, and his 1970 “A Thinking Man’s Guide to Pro Football” and revised 1984 “The New Thinking Man’s Guide to Pro Football” are textbooks to this day for young football writers trying to learn the game and trying to learn to write about the game. Ahhh! the story of human kind, the porr thinks he is not happy because what is missing in. his life is only related to money, the rich man is not happy because eiter he has not time to spend it, or he is too suspicious and thinks people likes him only because of his money, or what if he spends it and has nothing else and goes back in circles?? First and foremost I congratulate Leslie for his achievement. i am not going to IGNORANTLY slam these posts cause I GET IT. there is many people that still hurt. and Lesle BLEW IT! Should of been us winning that big game last year and NOT EVEN Close... our Defense did not show up against KC.. Facts.. so some here including me still are a little angry. NFL NOT FOR LONG.  I will take what ever cheap shots that are going to come at me on this one.. IDK I stand by my morals and not hide behind them cause of others already being rude to people in this topic.

The defense didn't show up against may formidable opponents.  The defense did a great job pounding on young QBs and crappy teams.
