Dan Darragh Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 Maybe the Bills front office saw something that we didn't about fan-fave Fitzmagic. What's your take? Where does he land? Quote
Freddie's Dead Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 At this point, I would guess it has to be medical. I did a search and didn't see any updates. Hope Fitzy's doing OK with rehab. 1 Quote
Bangarang Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 Clearly every other front office saw the same thing ours did. The guy is also going to be 40 this year. 5 Quote
947 Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 (edited) He's 39 & coming off a very major injury. Teams aren't exactly lining up for that. I'm not sure if he'd even be able to play again, let alone want to. If he does, he'll probably be a mid-season signing to a team with an injury at QB. Edited May 18, 2022 by 947 5 Quote

Where does he land? I would guess either 1) he doesn’t intend to play or is still injured and isn’t ready to play or 2) He’s willing to play, but not at less than say $10M a year for any team that might try to pull the “back-up with a chance to start” crap. I wouldn’t take back-up money when I know damn well I’m going to end up being the starter. If he was ready to play and do so at a reasonable price, I believe he would have been a Bill, but I don’t think he was going to accept what Keenum did. 2 Quote
DJB Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 I mean he has played for every NFL team. Maybe he is just tired 1 7 1 Quote
TheBeaneBandit Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 He didn't check himself before he wrecked himself. Hes a broken man....literally. Still love the dude Quote
Big Turk Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 Uh, he is almost 40 and coming off a really bad hip injury? Quote
WhoTom Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 Because the rest of the league knows he's a Bills fan at heart. 5 1 11 5 1 Quote

MPL Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 There's a tradition in pro wrestling where the biggest stars—at the end of their career—go out on their back. I know this isn't pro wrestling, but Fitzmagic is about the closest thing the NFL has had to a pro wrestler... well, aside from that time Brock Lesner was kind of in the NFL. Anyway, Fitz should end his career on his back, preferably after being body slammed through a table. Quote
aristocrat Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 The rumor after the injury was that he hurt himself at a waterpark with his kids over last summer and then the hit in the game just wrecked it. And he didn't tell the team about the original injury. Again, rumors. Quote

shane nelson Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 GM's saw the pictures of him and his gut from the playoff game. Maybe a little too much Buffalo love 1 Quote
1ManRaid Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 He's waiting for Keenum to slip on a bath mat so he can come end his career with his true team as our backup. 1 1 Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 I’m sure some network will pay him to talk football. I think he’ll do very well at that. 2 3 Quote
