New England is always a threat still. They are almost always going to play tough and keep it close if they don’t turn the ball over. They are a high IQ football team and generally scheme against us quite well. They also now have like 5-6 running backs to pound us with and the short pass game will be there for them.

Miami has enough talent to compete but first year head coach I don’t think it threatening us.

I think the Jets are a year or two or ten from actually competing

They schemed well when they had Brady or when the winds were 40 mph...

In the last two games everything was on the line (division and playoffs) and the Bills blew them out. They didn't scheme well.

Pains are the biggest threat, but are a bit of a wildcard with the new coach.

Dolphins.  They’re a QB and Coach away.  Talent on both sides of the rock.  Coach is unproven as a head man, as good as an OC as he was we have to see how he handles the jump.

And it’s now or never for Tua.  If he plays well the Dolphins will make noise.  Big IF though.

Bills also brought their A games those weeks. Most teams should not be able to hang if they play at an elite level. Pats should of never even been within striking distance of the East last year. But they were. I can’t write them off for two unproven teams despite the talent difference. The talent don’t matter if their coaches cant develop it or allow a toxic work environment. Miami should be the favorite for our competition but they should of been last year too and flopped.

Is it really? Who is that good on the Patriots right now?

You said they were contenders for the 1st overall pick.  That's very extreme.  They will win 8-9 games this year.  Possibly 10

It all falls to the QBs, all three teams are pretty good overall, but the QB is going to dictate their fate.  I think the Pats have done the best job building around their QB to play to his strengths, the Phins and Jets have given their guys talent, but does it fit their skills? TBD I suppose.  As of right now, it’s Phins, Pats, Jets in terms of threats and Phins, Jets, Pats in terms of talent.

This is exactly how I see things in the AFCE right now. I hope the Bills org isn't overlooking the division the way many on this board are. There are no easy games in the NFL. We lost to the damn Jaguars last year.

In the NFC the Dolphins are a WC team. In the AFC they I'd say they are ranked somewhere between 9-10 with the likes of Tenn and Cleveland if Watson plays. I would put Buffalo, Indy, Baltimore, Cincy, Vegas, Denver, KC, and Chargers in the top 8 in no particular order.

For how long

had we learned

that w/o a QB, you aren’t going anywhere!

Jest gonna Jest, Cheats are doneski.  Fish look the best on paper, but we will dominate them all.  I'll be shocked if any AFC East game is closer than a TD for us.

Hard to go 6-0 in the division. Even during the Pats dynasty years they usually lost once or twice. Most of the time it was at Miami. I think Brady's career record is around .500 or so at Miami.

Until the Cheatriots are dead and buried, it’s the Cheatriots..

Agree but I think they might be in the grave. I saw quit in them last year. There's cracks in their psyche but whether the Jets or Phins can take advantage is the big question

I don't think that. I believe they will be awful. They got worse from last year. We'll see, I guess.

The patriots have McCorkle ... Haven't you heard, he's great.

The Water Mammals are in a holding pattern this year waiting for Sean Payton and brady next year.

It just goes to show that even at their best, NE isn't a threat to the Bills. At their best, Miami might actually be a threat. That's the difference.

I don’t disagree.  But if Watson plays to his usual level, and plays most of the season, the Browns will be in that mix with the Ravens and Bengals.  And I’m just whispering this:  Steelers will be in the mix too.  Roethlisberger was a problem last year; because the Oline wasn’t great and he couldn’t move out the way.  Mitch can.  AFC North is low key a very interesting division.

If Zach Wilson makes a leap, Josh Allen is better. If Tua figures out how to throw the ball 20+ yards Josh Allen is better. Mac Jones was allowed to throw the ball twice. Josh Allen is a parody of a QB prospect.
