Well, in NY (and I assume many other states), Desk Appearance Tickets cannot be given on domestic cases, meaning that you must get arraigned before a judge who either will set bail, release with no bail, or remand you pending trial.

Jerry Jeudy arrested is clickbait.  One might assume a domestic or a gun charge or something bad.  What did he smash a phone?  His name is getting dragged through mud over minutia it sounds like to me.  No one got shot, beaten up, raped
