YoloinOhio Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 (edited) Quote The Buffalo Bills are hiring former Texans director of personnel Matt Bazirgan for their senior personnel executive job, according to a league source.Bazirgan previously worked closely with Bills executive Brian Gaine in Houston when Gaine was the Texans' general manager.Bazirgan was hired by the Texans in 2018 after working 14 years in the New York Jets' personnel department. Bazirgan worked in a leadership role with the pro and college scouting departments in Houston. With the Jets, Bazirgan was director of college scouting after previous stints as director of pro personnel and assistant director of pro personnel. A former starting quarterback for Bates College, Bazirgan was previously an area scout, college scouting assistant and intern for the Jets. Edited May 9, 2022 by YoloinOhio 2 Quote

DrDawkinstein Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 Jets and Texans the teams on this guy's resume.... I hope he's looking to make a change because those teams didn't listen to his advice. 1 9 Quote
FilthyBeast Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 Unless I missed the news somewhere, this must be a preemptive move by Beane to replace someone that Schoen and the Giants are going to poach for their front office since they recently dumped some long time scouting folks after the draft. But I also share the concern that this might not even be a great hire looking at the Texans and what a dumpster fire the entire organization is right now. 3 1 Quote

PetermansRedemption Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 I’m not sure I want anyone from the Texans anywhere near this team. 1 Quote

First Round Bust Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 would not have happened with the insights and recommendations from Gaine who worked closely with the candidate who has 22 years of experience. they interviewed others so had the ability to compare and contrast candidates as well this is the Schoen replacement on the management team ? Donuts and Doritos Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 Texans & Jets? Yikes! Only missing the Jags. Don't do it Beane!!!! Run away!! 1 Quote

He’s not the owner or the GM. He can suggest a lot of players but the GM and, it seems in those 2 places, bad ownership can say no. Or players can choose to go elsewhere. Or coaches didn’t do a good job developing players acquired. The guy has experience, knows how the league works and is in a better organization with an owner who will spend money and an elite GM-HC combo. Relax. Edited May 9, 2022 by purple haze 2 1 Quote

DCofNC Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 Gotta wonder how hard it is to even get an interview with those ***** shows on the resume. I’m sure he had his list of “ I said this guy, they did this” Quote

No offense, but I will trust Beane's judgment on this hire vs. your concern. 2 1 1 Quote

Kmart128 Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 Think this means Gaine is gonna be promoted to AGM finally Quote
RoyBatty is alive Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 Fans pre-emptive judgmental call based on where this guy worked it so predictable. Same ignorant mentality would never ever even look at any Texans (Quessenberry) or Jets (eg Crowder) players. 1 Quote
