T&C Posted May 24, 2022 Author Posted May 24, 2022 I spoke too soon lol... the Blues are going the wrong way and where they are heading is the golf course. Quote
Greg S Posted May 24, 2022 Posted May 24, 2022 (edited) Just put Tampa in the Finals already. Sweeping the Panthers and holding them to 3 goals the entire series is very impressive. Last night the Panthers had the better of the play but the brick wall Vasilevskiy stopped everything they threw at him. There is no doubt he is the best goalie in hockey. These past three years of play he has earned his spot in the HOF. If the Lightning win it again then they will be considered a modern day dynasty. Edited May 24, 2022 by Greg S Quote

Unless an upset happens I think that will be your SC Finals. That is my guess as well. Im guessing a Tampa vs Carolina and Colorado vs Edmonton conference finals. Edmonton vs Colorado could be a very interesting series, if Edmonton gets by Calgary. The way both teams play such an attacking offensive style could make for some really exciting games. I also think Edmonton has a better shot at besting Colorado than Calgary does. But I’d still pick Colorado and Tampa as the two most likely Stanley cup finalists. 27 minutes ago, Greg S said: Just put Tampa in the Finals already. Yeah, Vasilevskiy has really turned it up a gear starting with that game 6 against Toronto. He’s just been a brick wall since then. The entire Tampa bay team has really seemed to flip a switch since that game 6 where they faced elimination. They were kind of up and down before that. Boy, I bet Toronto is kicking themselves right now after watching that Florida series. Had they been able to close out Tampa I really feel like they would have been the best team left in the East. Their chances at making the ECF would’ve been pretty good (IMO). 3 Quote

If I had to guess, I'd say it will be Colorado vs. Tampa in the finals, with Colorado winning the Cup. Quote
T&C Posted May 26, 2022 Author Posted May 26, 2022 Helluva comeback by the Blues... down 3-0 and have forced OT. Besides football, playoff hockey is the best sporting event in the world imo. 2 Quote
Greg S Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 Major credit to the Blues. That was an exciting ending. Puts a little pressure on the Avs now. 1 Quote
T&C Posted May 27, 2022 Author Posted May 27, 2022 (edited) This Oilers/Flames game is a freaking riot... gotta be close to the record of most goals scored in the smallest time frame. Edit: the fastest 4 goals in playoff history. Wish the Rangers had won earlier but they are still hanging on by a thread. Edited May 27, 2022 by T&C Quote
BillsPride12 Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 I am SUPER Pumped for this! This has probably been the #1 Sports Documentary left that I've been waiting to see for quite some time now. I always had faith they would do one at some point...that rivalry was just too intense not to have one. Some of the best and most intense hockey I've ever watched especially when they met in the playoffs. Quote
T&C Posted May 31, 2022 Author Posted May 31, 2022 This one is cooked... Tampa @ Rangers on Wednesday night. Better this way really, no way were the Canes going to stand a chance with what they now have for goalies. Go Rangers.................... Quote

At least in this series they won't have a goaltending advantage. Vasilevskiy may actually be better than Shesterkin. Go Bolts. Quote

I just don't want Tampa to win the cup, I live here and really don't want to hear champa bay ever again lol. So bring it Rangers. Quote

BillsFan4 Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Wow! I didn’t see that coming. The rangers won game one 6-2. I’ll be interested to see how Tampa responds. 1 Quote

Weren't the Leafs up on them 3-2 in the 1st round before the Bolts came back and won in 7. I would expect a bounce back game. Usually when Vasilevskiy has a bad game he responds with a strong one. I sure hope so. F the Rags. Quote

Edmonton would be rolling to a cup if they had a decent goaltender. The Rangers are in the upper limits of where I hoped the Sabres would be in two years, but Levi went back to school. 1 Quote
