I wonder if Stevenson and Hodgins get cut. Possibility of stashing on the PS. I don't know how Crowder's or McKenzie contracts work but I don't think either are roster locks.

 

Sweeney is probably gone. You forgot Quentin Morris at FB/TE.

I think Moss, Stevenson, and Hodgins are in serious trouble.

McKenzie can play in the slot, but is more of a Swiss army knife gadget guy. We know that Daboll loved him for all those traits. It remains to be seen if Dorsey will utilize these talents, but he is unique on the team. If Shakir shows real potential in the P/KR game, that would go a long way in securing a position on the 53, and I see no reason not to keep all three.

 

Be that as it may, I have to believe that Hodgins has an uphill climb to break into the 53.

Love this pick!  He was a guy I thought we could target in rounds 3 or 4 heading into draft if we didn’t go WR early.  Man, I can not wait to see this offense this year

I think we're going to end up with some pretty good players on our PS this season and other teams will poach throughout the year.

 

As much hate as Stevenson gets I hope we can stash him on there because I do still think he has potential to develop into a good depth WR and our PR/KR.

He was no. 89 on the big board consolidated from PFF, PFN, The Athletic, Tankathon, ESPN a Daniel Jeremiah's big boards. So consensus was he is a late 3rd round guy.

Kumerow played 269 snaps on teams last year, Third Generation NFL Player, suspect he will be a core special teamer, and 6-4 is a nice target in the red zone.

 

If I were a WR/Returner with a history of putting the ball on the ground; I might be a little worried with the addition of Mr. Shakir.  He's also a California guy, so you know he will be happy to play catch with JA17.

Right but i am not using a crystal ball infront of me and saying a 4th or 5th grade player(I trust experts more then you) is going to be better then what we have...

Some had him graded as a 3rd or even a 2nd...basically he could be our 3rd WR from day 1 if we didn't have Crowder and MacKenzie...probably will ease him in but don't be surprised to see him taking snaps from those guys later in the year.

Too many drops, I would not trust him in the return game or 3rd downs. I see him on the PS this year with a small possibility of making the team next year.
