A mid-to-late 5th would have been a little nicer, but Beane sees this as a deep draft, so maybe it works out.

Cockrell was definitely more talented than 4 year starter Levi Wallace and probably Dane Jackson as well.

Not really.  He's just not good.  It's why he's been on 5 teams in 7 years signing short term cheap contracts.

 

He can't hold a candle to Wallace lol he can run in a straight line faster, that's not more talented.
