The Pat's message board is self destructing right now over Bill drafting Cole Strange, an offensive guard, with their 1st round pick.  There is a video link of Sean McVay watching the pick live while he is being interviewed and then absolutely nuking the pick.  McVay starts laughing out loud and says they wasted a lot of time looking at Strange thinking he'd be there at pick 104.  It's rare to see an NFL coach bomb another coach

 

One of the best comments directed towards Bill from the thread was;   "Your defense didn’t force a got damn punt the last two games vs Buffalo, moron."

 

It's so nice to see the worst fanbase in the NFL getting what they deserve.  😃

Bill belichick's defensive game plan shut down the bills kgun in the Bills Giants SB ... It's literally in the HoF

 

he's been a defensive guru for 30 plus years and has won super bowls with great defensive performances 

 

His ability to adapt his scheme across multiple eras ... Running multiple fronts and confusing top quarterbacks for 30 years is a tremendous legacy  

 

And he just took the Patriots to the playoffs with a terrible rag arm quarterback...

 

He just can't stop Josh Allen : ) 

 

And yes he isn't the greatest GM.. but his defensive coaching abilities are unquestioned

Drafting isn’t so easy when you don’t have Brady covering up for all the blunders.

Those types of picks were fine when you had the best QB on the planet bailing you out, He could end up being a great guard but you had a solid player in Shaq Mason and if he ends up being great then it's just a wash. Great for us though!

The Patriots have had a higher success rate drafting offensive lineman than any other position (they can't draft a good wr to save their lives).  Their staff will probably turn him into a pro-bowler by his third season.

The magic is gone. Even if they turn him into Wyatt Teller I still think they'll finish last in the division and be a bottom tier team next year. That roster is simply gross on paper.

Well, they won 10 games and battled for the division to the end of the season and got back to the playoffs with an Alabama rookie QB.  Maybe the drought begins this year?

With the circumstances I think Josh played one of the best games I've ever seen a quarterback play in 50mph gusts 

 

They were afraid to let their quarterback throw two yards down the field.. our quarterback hit diggs 50 yards down the field in the hands ... One of the best throws I've ever seen

The Patriots WR room is like a list of WR3s from 2018. I agree that Bill is a first ballot HOFer and one of the greatest minds in NFL history. I just don't think even that can win with Cole Strange, Jakobi Myers, and 58 year old James White.
