Strangely and this is weird to say but I’m not sure he would be this good if he wasn’t taken by Buffalo. The coaching situation worked in his favor. Fam and I went to Pro-Am a couple months ago. On fourth hole my kids (8/10) in there JA gear were waving at him. His was speaking with his Larry Fitzgerald and other golfers but saw them, walked about 20-30 yards over to us for some fist bumps, pics and autographs. He didn’t need to do that. Rest of round he was equally patient and generous with time and with kids. Always a Bills fan but also will always be a JA fan. Go Bills. Go JA17 At a time when football players behaving badly off the field has become commonplace (or maybe bad behavior can't be hidden as easily as it was in the past), Allen isn't just a superstar on the field, he's one off the field as well. 1 Quote
ganesh Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Have been. a Big Ben fan all these years even though it was very bitter to see the steelers pick him 2 spots ahead of us in the draft. Quote
BillsPride12 Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 I think it would be one of those things where I'd be so jealous he wasn't on our team. His personality is just such a perfect fit for Buffalo...after everything we've been through over the years as Bills fans it's still surreal to me how this fell into place. Quote
BRH Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 I always liked Peyton Manning and… and…. well, anyway, that’s one, so yeah, I probably would still be a JA fan, and I’m sticking with that story. Quote

Mahomes and to a lesser extent but also wife and their daughter are plastered over national social media. All of them swagged out in designer clothes even the baby? Give me a break. Okay Im done with that topic. I Love Britt Williams Ive never read or heard ANY bad press on she whatsoever at all. Maybe some jealous hater types may say something mean n social media but thats it. Hating on people wearing designer clothes?!? "I love Britt Williams" based on social media?!?! Unless I missed the sarcasm, wow, someone needs a life besides judging people based on social media. 1 1 1 Quote

I'm not perfect and I think buying baby designer clothing is shallow. sue me. AND I know people whom have met Britt in person and she has been nothing but a sweetheart from all accounts. whorlnut Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Probably not…he’s so good that other fan bases hate him out of pure jealousy he isn’t their guy. Although…he is a totally likable and relatable dude. Quote

For instance, I hate Brady because he's a douchebag. So no, I would not hate Josh if he were on another team. I'd still like. He might still be my favorite player, in fact. My favorite players during my 25 years of fandom have often been on other teams. Brady from all accounts is one of the most likeable and genuine people in the locker room and he knows everybody. Rodgers on the other hand definitely fits that description 2 1 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 Good thread. I appreciate greatness and therefore I would enjoy watching him no matter where he played. Quote

JESSEFEFFER Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 I generally appreciate extremely talented athletes who who embrace their opportunities and show passion for their their sport, family, teammates and the communities that support them. When they are inclined to go out of their way to lift others up they enter a new category of humanity for me. Huge negatives are reserved for those who demonstrate a sense of entitlement or who publicly point fingers at those around them in an attempt to deflect criticism from themselves. So, by all these measures Josh would score very well. But, when the national media starts going overboard in praise of an individual there is a natural, knee jerk reaction on my part to reject the hype. Quote
Tisker A Tasker Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 I'm pretty sure I'd like him. What clinches it for me is how many times people who root for other teams tell me how lucky we are to have him. Quote
NewEra Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 The thought of this makes me sick to my stomach. Thanks for making me sick Quote
RocCityRoller Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 If he was on another team in the AFC East I would hate the guy 😄 I have had QB envy for most of my fanhood. Didn't like Montana, Peyton Manning etc for most of their careers. I started to enjoy watching them play near the end of their careers and just take in the greatness. But I also liked guys like Favre and Young, because they were so exciting to watch. Allen is a play maker and is a really entertaining. I probably would like watching him play even if he was not on the Bills and wonder why we couldn't have a guy like that. But we do! I have friends and family who are Eagles/ Giants/ Raiders/Pats fans and they all tell me Allen is must watch football. Quote
Cray51 Posted April 24, 2022 Posted April 24, 2022 I’d appreciate him just like I do Lamar - guy can make incredible plays and will his team to victory. I have to respect that trait. I’m sure I’d look at his demeanor and come to terms that he is a genuine guy. so as long as he wasn’t a patriot dolphin or Jet, I’d be fond of him and jealous we didn’t have him Quote

That's where I'm at. Always liked and respected Manning not only as a player, but off the field too. Allen kinda seems to have a similar type personality or vibe etc that makes it hard to not like him. Unless you're a Fins, Jets, Pats fan I guess lol. Quote
