Sorry this is a slow time of year as we wait for the draft. I watched this little clip from Allen. Let's all remember that Josh Allen is now an absolute celebrity. He's facing off against Tom Brady in The Match in June with Patrick Mahomes for God's sake.

Yet, this is what Josh Allen says when asked about actually wanting to be in Buffalo for something as mundane as OTA's... I  encourage you to listen to the entire clip:

I am so proud to have this guy in Buffalo. He just gets it! Seems like he'd be an absolute blast to hang out with, and no doubt in my mind hes the center of the culture in that locker room. All starts with him😍

I’d pretty much resigned myself to the fact that Jim Kelly was our one and only Buffalo “unicorn” (in my own lifetime of fandom) perfectly blending the intangible qualities we wanted in our QB and as a blue collar roots type representative of the franchise…I’m grateful to have seen Josh come along and be able to really appreciate the trajectory we are all on now. By the time he’s done, not only will he go down as the greatest Bill in franchise history, but very possibly be in the NFL running as well.

Barring injuries, and he has been increasingly smarter on protecting himself, Allen may even surpass Bruuuce, as the best Bill of all time.

Kelly was not the best of all time, it was Bruce.  That’s coming from a guy who has his avatar MGK.

For all he did.

Josh is the Unicorn 🦄

Kelly needed a run game with Thurm and

Keith McKeller, a 6-foot-6-inch, 245-pound dual-threat tight end.

Kelly -if we’re being honest here- was a dick. Yes, he mended his ways but he was ridiculously cocky, arrogant and a douche for many years.
This stated, I love him as my QB.

I think of Josh Allen in a very maternal protective  Mother Bear way. That may be just as weird as a man crush I dunno lol. I'll save  my TRUE LOVE for Dawson Knox.....

lol

You want to talk about Opposites to the way they are now  you look at Jim Kelly.  When he first arrived in Buffalo (To people lining the streets cheering him by the way) he was a miami hurricanes cocky arrogant ****. who did Not want to even be here ......He came around and now is official Buffalo royalty and Hall of Famer. Who'd have thunk it

I grew up a huge Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas fans. Those guys were such a part of my childhood and the reasons I became a Bills fan. I never thought anyone would challenge them for my all-time favorite Bill…until this guy. He’s quickly becoming my favorite player. Just love the way he’s embraced the city and leads. Let’s be honest…when Jimbo was here he wasn’t exactly the lead by example type. Not until he was done playing. Allen is built differently and I’m so glad he’s our QB.

love this clip!! And Josh Allen! 😁

I said something similar when McDermott and Beane were first hired - that Buffalo was the perfect spot for the type of team they wanted to build and that they could actually use it to their advantage.

Being in a small city like Buffalo, you aren’t going to attract players looking for all the off-field stuff (clubs, nightlife, etc) or the nice weather like you do in other cities. If a player is coming here, it’s to play football.

I felt like it could be used as an advantage with team building and felt Beane + McDermott were the perfect guys to take advantage of it with the type of player personality traits they were looking for.

Very happy it’s worked out so well!

I do recall the stories. Not wanting to be drafted by the Bills. Not a good look.

and the Bickering Bills saga.

Anyone who think talents trumps everything and the rest is meaningless should do a case study on Josh Allen and Jack Eichel.

That’s how much difference attitude and personality make.

Von already called it a college atmosphere and that's true.  Not going to be for every grown man, but those who LOVE football will come to love Buffalo and playing for the Bills.  And Josh is the absolute perfect leader for such a situation.
