I’m sticking with week 1 at Rams to kick off season on TNF, at Lions on thanksgiving, and a SNF game early in season vs GB. I think Chiefs will also be SNF and it will be in December. Of those 5 opponents none of them finished the year with more than 6 wins…I will like our chances 1

Rams get a home season opener for sure, but it didnt really give a reason Buff would be opponent anymore than the other 8 teams lol hope it happens though

Ed_Formerly_of_Roch
I predict Titans at home week 2, wouldn't shock me to see it even played on Monday night! 6 hours ago, Greg S said: I think the entire AFCW is going to dominate primetime this year. I consider the 4:25 games as a prime time game. The fact that 3 of the 4 teams plays their normal home games in the 4:00 hour makes it easy for them to have more exposure. Some can still end up the regional 4:05 start, but does give them a leg up on the 4:25 start times. Week 12 - Thanksgiving - Raiders at Dallas and Bills at Saints Week 13 - Dallas at Saints And in 2019 Week 13 - Thanksgiving - Bears at Lions and Bills at Dallas Week 14 - Dallas at Bears That's as far as I'm digging into this tonight. EDIT - notice you said Thursday NIGHT games, not all Thursday games. I'll dig deeper later this week. Teams that played TNF games two weeks in a row 2015 - Packers (vs Bears, at Lions) 2017 - Redskins (vs Giants, at Cowboys) 2018 - Saints (vs Falcons, at Cowboys) 2021 - Saints (vs Bills, vs Cowboys) Teams that played Thanksgiving, then TNF the following week 2007 - Packers (at Lions, vs Cowboys) 2014 - Cowboys (vs Eagles, at Bears) - Bears (at Lions, vs Cowboys) 2015 - Lions (vs Eagles, vs Packers) 2016 - Cowboys (vs Redskins, at Vikings) - Vikings (at Lions, vs Cowboys) 2017 - Cowboys (vs Chargers, vs Redskins) 2018 - Cowboys (vs Redskins, vs Saints) 2019 - Bears (at Lions, vs Cowboys) - Cowboys (vs Bills, at Bears) 2021 - Cowboys (vs Raiders, at Saints)

I would like to face a top team week 1. Agree 100%. Better to get that long west coast trip out of the way, and more importantly, IMO, week one is completely unpredictable. Yes LA will be pumped up for this game, but so will we. And I think that the unpredictability of the game will benefit the defenses more than the offenses, and I would LOVE to see Von collect two or three sacks right out of the gate, on his way to a 16 sack season. Richard Noggin
For those discussing how the 17th game SHOULD be selected, given the lack of preexisting protocol: first, help me understand how the following is NOT a solid criterium? One interconference game based on the prior year's standings on a rotating four-year cycle (one game). These games match a first-place team from one division against a first-place team in an opposite conference division that the team is not scheduled to play that season. The second-place, third-place and fourth-place teams in each division are matched in the same way each year. The home conference for this game will rotate each season. This seems to me like the next logical extension of the established scheduling hierarchy/protocol, seeking equity AND more diverse interconference matchups. What I'm seeing some posters suggest is so finnicky and unpredictable and difficult to justify if equity is at all important (mostly specific player-based matchups, including grudge matches with recently moved players facing last year's teams and elite QBs squaring off even though they don't actually see the field at the same time). A team's scheduled opponents should NOT be emotionally chosen. When the logically selected games are played and at what times CAN be divvied up to maximize fan interest. 1
