RoyBatty is alive Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 (edited) If one believes in TMZ. Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Spencer Brown had a wild experience at the airport Tuesday ... saying a pissed-off passenger unhatched his plane's emergency inflatable slide and escaped on it before take-off! The 24-year-old football player described the chaos in a series of tweets ... explaining a woman was so angry about something on the plane at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport, she deployed an emergency slide to get off. "Sitting on a plane," Brown said, describing the scene. "A lady is pissed. Lady pulls the emergency inflatable slide to escape the plane. Lady is running wild through the tarmac currently." I wouldn't want to mess around on an airplane with Spencer Brown, man is huge (and best draft pick from last year so far). Edited April 20, 2022 by RoyBatty is alive 2 1 3 Quote

Considering how big he is, the guy has to be rather limited in his movements in that metal tube. I wonder if that basically made everyone have to get out of the plane at that point, I imagine there must be some sort of process a plane has to go through after that has been used. 1 1 Quote
Solomon Grundy Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 Why would he be leaving Buffalo when the voluntary workouts started on Tuesday? 1 Quote

A very big and very expensive process. Quote

Yeah you can't just activate those slides, have to properly deflate them, fold them back if possible, and putting them back has to be done precisely. Dont know the rules and regs on those. That was probably a several hour delay, most likely had to change planes, not only that they had to track down the crazy lady on active runways. With so many cellphone cameras shocked there isn't some video of it already. Edited April 20, 2022 by RoyBatty is alive Quote

Gugny Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 I think TMZ is one of the most reliable entertainment news sources out there. And professional sports = entertainment. 1 Quote

JoPoy88 Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 What the hell is wrong with all these people on planes? Hope she enjoys trains because she’ll be Amtraking it for quite a while if she’s gotta get somewhere. 2 Quote

No. They just push a button, the slide deflates and rolls back up into the belly of the plane…all within 45 seconds. 😇 1 Quote
cage Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 Actually the source for this story is...... Spencer Brown, 8 Quote

When an emergency slide is activated, it triggers a pneumatic inflation system that gets the slide from packed and stored to its evacuation position. Kind of like a very large scale airbag. You don't just deflate it and re-pack it in the storage bustle. It must be removed and replaced and that takes a good deal of time and a lot of expense. 1 Quote

You could have just written that to begin with. According to BTB you just push a button and it comes back up within 45 seconds but your scenario makes a lot more sense. 1 Quote
