North Buffalo Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 (edited) So my wife and I are both in the medical field and decided to take our first vaca in 2 years down to Naples, Fort Meyers area. We joined a boat club last year that is National and after going out one day for lunch we stopped on the harbor water in Bonita, 2 Tables plus ours were filled with Go Bills Buffalonians plus a waitress ... The guy who put us on the boat today was from Buffalo... Saw a white F150 today with a Bills plate around it... and many other folks wth... Guy at the Boat club says this area has the largest number of Bills fans outside of Buffalo... even my wife was impressed who is a New Yawker... who knew... shout out to SW Fla... Go Bills Edited April 14, 2022 by North Buffalo 9 3 2 Quote

machine gun kelly Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 bills fans are everywhere down here from Tampa to Naples. We seem to be the higher percentage of transplants than the east coast of Florida. 9 1 Quote
JakeFrommStateFarm Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 (edited) Bills fans tired of freezing their a55es off. That's why they move down south Also taxes are really high. Probably just as high as CA Edited April 14, 2022 by JakeFrommStateFarm 2 3 Quote

Freddie's Dead Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 I was in San Diego last week, saw lots of Bills fans. "Go Bills!". It's a thing. Quote
billybrew1 Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Bills fans are everywhere! At least that’s my experience…. I was just in Florida (Tampa area) walking with my father-in-law who was wearing a giants T-shirt and this guy goes, “Go Bills” to the giants fan F-I-L and I immediately say, “Go Bills” back but I had no Bills stuff on and we all just stared laughing…. And now I live in Rancho California, a suburb of LA and whenever I wear something that sez Bills on it, someone always sez either, Go Bills! Or recently an even more common reply, “ Josh Allen!” Said in understanding tone… As wild and incredible as Patrick Mahomes is, I think Josh passed him in both amazing plays and play overall….Josh is the six million dollar man….. He’s bigger, stronger, faster….has a better arm, is tougher (even though great passers scare him, you’d have to be crazy to not be wary of the great pass rushers) than any QB may be ever…. I’ve said it before… watching Josh is very much like watching Bruce Smith in his prime…Only it’s better because Josh plays QB. But that awesome greatness, freakish athleticism, they both have it and it is extremely rare. Quote
Wacka Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Was on Sanibel Island, FL on vaca back in 2011. There was a pontoon boat that someone would sail up onto the beach to sell pop, ice cream and snacks. Was there with a friend that still lived in Buffalo (I lived in CA at the time). He told that guy withe the boat was originally from WNY. When he came on the beach by us, I talked to him and found that he was from Orchard Park. 1 Quote

I live part time in Fort Lauderdale. And it certainly isn't overrated. No funner place in America. And it is absolutely beautiful down there. Check out the Nu River and the intercoastal along with Fort Lauderdale Beach. If you like boats and being on or by the water. It can not be beat. Weather is warm all year round. And certainly lots of eye candy. I agree about Boca and WPB. Pretty boring in Palm Beach County. But certainly not in Fort Lauderdale. 1 1 1 Quote

Lagoon Blues Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Sure seems as though half of Floridians are transplant New Yorkers. I don't meet very many people here where I live in Florida that are born in Florida. Quote

Go Bills We moved to Sarasota in 1993. My parents came to visit a few months later. We went out to dinner Saturday night, and they ran into people they knew from Buffalo. We went to church Sunday morning, and they ran into people they used to work with. I took my dad to the Cabana Inn (a dump along the Trail for those familiar that was then the go-to Bills joint prior to Sunday Ticket at home or nicer Bills bars) for the Bills game. It was mostly big projection TV’s so the windows are all blocked out to see the screen (and NOT see how disgusting the place was/is). My dad gets up to go to the rest room and literally bumps into a guy he went to high school with 50 years earlier, and they had not seen each other since. How they recognized each other, I have NO idea after 50 year! They were there 72 hours and knew more people than we did after months of living and working there. After growing up in Buffalo (which I LOVED!) you deserve something nice! My dream is to get back to Sarasota one day, at least part-time. Maybe a summer place somewhere cooler, like the mountains……..or Buffalo? . Edited April 15, 2022 by Augie 2 2 Quote
