Albany,n.y. Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 I was hoping to get to knowthe USFL & bet on some games, but legal betting in NYS is not taking bets on the USFL. There are 15 states that will take it but I'm not going to NJ or southeast Connecticut to bet on these games. I guess I'll have to wait for the NFL season. 1 1 Quote

Airseven Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 The very existence of the USFL relies on betting for anyone to care. 1 Quote

Don't forget this version of spring football was created by Fox and NBC sports. The last couple attempts were leagues with their hands out to TV networks. Totally different dynamic. Then throw gambling revenue on top of that? Edited April 13, 2022 by PromoTheRobot 2 Quote

The USFL and XFL will get the players who weren't good enough for the NFL. Quote

Most college players can't make a USFL roster either, but we still watch college football. I would worry about the integrity of games played by players who aren't paid much. 2 Quote

I would love more football plus it would make the NFL's offseason go by faster if we get a successful football league in the spring. Just going off of history the only football that is popular is the NFL and CFB. Even the NFL Europe league couldn't make it. 1 Quote

Any league that isn't the NFL is going to be inferior. But it will still be better than college. And there is a some demand for spring football. The XFL's ratings showed that last time, placing at least one game in the top 10 sports ratings each week. And what's wrong with having a second chance league? The NFL can't have one because they don't need/want to additional liability. 17 minutes ago, Arkady Renko said: Most college players can't make a USFL roster either, but we still watch college football. NFL Europe did quite well with attendance and viewership. It just got too expensive to run a league overseas and it exposed the league to further liability for CTE. 1 Quote

PromoTheRobot Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 So how do you handicap the first week of a new league where every game is played in one city? Here's Draftkings' take. Quote
