I would be happy with picking him in the 2nd round.

Really that’s what this team needs right now is to use a premium pick on a TE ?

Don't think of it as a TE, but a pass catcher.   Josh needs pass catchers.     Tight ends, running backs out of the backfield, slot guys, plus your X & Y WRs.

Let's Go !

McBride can lineup as a WR he’s that kinda athlete wouldn’t surprise me if he’s sitting there in round 2 the Bills don’t think hey

Same.  If we don’t go Wr in rd 1, we should probably wait til rd 3 or 4.  Maybe Moore, pierce, robinson or Murphy will fall to 57, but I could see a situation where they’re all gone.  I’d rather have mcbride in rd 2 than the other guys that might be there for us:  Metchie, tolbert, bell, Shakir.  I’d take those WRs in rd 3-4, but not rd 2.

If BPA then it also fits a need. Teams who can create mismatches with a TE have been terrorizing the nfl playoffs for 10 years now!

Sneaky way to get another weapon on the field, and as a beast of a blocker his use is unlimited.

Knox missed one game rookie year, 4 his 2nd, and 2 last year.

Howard ruptured his Achilles in 2020, and several other lower body injuries. TEs get banged up, and there's nothing to say he couldn't potentially beat out OJ in camp or by mid season.

We also have a 10-15m $ question mark upcoming that we could use an insurance policy for.

I was thinking back to Gronk and that murderer dude. That was a matchup nightmare.

Why is it that this isnt a "good" draft, but i want like a dozen guys , and six of them with the first pick 😆

It’s not great at the top(mostly because the QBs stink) but it is a very deep draft where you can get future starters in the 5th and 6th round.  The depth is good the top isn’t

Exactly. And McBride plays a lot like George Kittle.

If that TE turns out to be the next Kelce, then yes. Not to mention look at the production the Bills have gotten from their last three second round picks so far.

Seems we are looking at higher end TEs.  I wonder if they are protecting themselves in case we can't afford Knox.  I hope not because it takes a while to develop a TE, and Knox is a good one now.

I think it's also maybe just a case of the Bills personell dept doing due diligence on promising players they will keep tabs on for future trade and/or FA fit after maybe just on the cusp of breaking out in the pro game.

Come to think of it- have the Bills had a successful 2nd round pick since McD took over in 2017?  I honestly can’t think of anyone...

Dawkins, who went in the 2nd back in 2017, has been pretty good.

like his tape, but plays in weaker conference and this doesnt exactly leave me breathless

His RAS is "N/A" in your post bc it doesn't include 40 yd dash, 20 split, shuttle or 3-cone.

You can't say his measuables aren't elite without measuring them.

Plug in his Pro Day 40 time of 4.54, which is what Gabe Davis ran, and see what that does to his elite traits.
