I just think Beane has a price point and this year a team was willing to pay it so they wished him well. 2 Quote

Or maybe relative to Rhodes/Nelson/or Haden it was too much, or they just prefer one of the other remaining CBs. Getting a little tight though - kind of like when the market for the big pass rushers was thinning out. Beane has come through before. Oh I thought someone here said he got a 1 year $10M or $11M deal...maybe I misread something. Yeah, if it was $4M then that would have likely been in our ball park at least. 1 Quote

I think you need to disregard the ramblings of this billybrew and instead reference the page 2 tweet from Mike Garafolo - looks like a $4M + $1M incentive deal. If the FO can get a Rhodes or Nelson or Bradberry for around $4-5M, I think we would be looking at another GM of the year award for Beane. Quote
FilthyBeast Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 It's good to hear we are still doing the obvious in terms of pursuing a veteran DB. At some point though the market is going to dry up quickly, likely before or right after the draft. Quote

Ummm. Best case scenario is Tre starts week one, but takes a few weeks to ramp back up. Worst case scenario, Tre misses a few weeks then takes time to get back to form. Either way, Dane Jackson is not ready to start in that scenario. Is that even being debated at this point? Quote
Back2Buff Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 His contract he signed was very manageable. Disappointing he didn't choose here. 1 Quote

I mean Dane Jackson is not ready to be our CB2- Tre will have to be out CB1 when healthy. Quote

Wallace is literally lined up to take away any route inside and still gets beat inside on a dig route. I think that was the moment they knew they had to move on. 1 Quote

Not sure why Dane would not be ready to be CB2 he did pretty well in that role last year. He def is not ready to be CB1 and I am not sure if he ever will be. 1 Quote

Would rather send a pick or two sent to the Giants for Bradberry, than spend picks and players to move up in the draft (per recent rumors). The window is open and the Autumn wind is blowing in. It smells like a herd of stampeding Buffalo. Quote

He think did well in every game he played in and he went against some good recievers. Quote

I championed him all last year. Quote
