I’ve even heard it said before. Our 8 year old grandson spends most Sundays with us and he played this a lot. I’ve resisted him getting me hooked so far, barely helping. I’m embarrassed by my current level on Wordscapes and don’t need another obsession…..but you sucked me in! I just finished a couple games, and I have to decide between walking away or getting sucked in….. BRB 1 Quote

SinceThe70s Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 I took a page out of Wheel of Fortune and use stern every time. ouija is good to eliminate/identfy vowels but I think it's easier to try to identify the consonants first 1 Quote
T&C Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 I play words with friends... actually going on 9 years. Never heard of this one until now. Quote

Jauronimo Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 I have switched to Octordle. I play PARED, OUGHT, FLICK, HYMNS and that sets me up to succeed pretty much every time. Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 My daughter loves “radio.” My son goes with “adieu.” My wife likes “stare.” I really like “young.” Quote

I just did Wordless for the first time after brushing off the grandson for the most part the last couple weekends. I’ll play along more going forward. 1 Quote
nkreed Posted March 29, 2022 Posted March 29, 2022 I begin with ARISE, and if that doesn't work I use a CHO** word. T's are rather easy to identify later on. It's not the best strategy, but my current streak is 53. I got lucky and didn't lose anything in the transfer to the NYT. Quote
TheCockSportif Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 My first two words, usually try to knock out AEIOU, assuming that my first guess is fruitless. RAISE is a favorite starting word. Quote
snafu Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Slime, or Smart. I suggested that to make it more difficult, my wife and I choose each other’s starting words. My idea was rejected. Quote

Whatya do when the Wordle is: NYMPH 😉😜 (Which it was a few days ago) Anyway... Don't know what the fuss is. According to rules, if you get it under 6, you win... Why do humans have to always ramp up the competition. This is PASS-FAIL. 😏 Edited March 30, 2022 by ExiledInIllinois Quote

Whatya do when the Wordle is: NYMPH Elementary, my dear EII. Once you've eliminated all of the vowels, that means there's gotta by a 'Y'. I solved CYNIC from a few weeks ago on try 3 (my second guess had an N in it). 🙂 Quote
