MrEpsYtown Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 (edited) Yeah I don't think Ike will play this year, but I am glad he is back. I like the player a lot. This has nothing to do with Bates imo. Probably a minimum salary to rehab. Edited March 28, 2022 by MrEpsYtown 4 4 Quote
MWK Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 (edited) Don't mind this but still need more. We don't know his health either Edited March 28, 2022 by MWK Quote

JMM Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 Hate to agree but I think this signals that they decided not to match Bates offer. He really looked good at end of the season, I hope they didn't make a mistake here with him. 2 Quote
msw2112 Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 I was thinking about starting another Bates thread to see if anyone had any info, but I found some articles online that basically say that the Bills are considering their options on matching or not. I suspect it will depend on the size of the Bears' offer. Unfortunately, to the extent there's any information out there, signals point to the Bills not matching. Of course, the Bills also were not going to re-sign Matt Milano last year, and did. They also were not going to be big players in Free Agency this year and went out and signed Von Miller. So, I will withhold judgment until the final decision is made. I believe the deadline is tomorrow. Quote

MrEpsYtown Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 I will say this, movement on the IOL front, Hernandez signing with ZONA, etc likely means a decision on Bates has been made. We just don't know which way it went. For example, maybe Hernandez was in a holding pattern as he would be a fit for us. Maybe he found out we are keeping Bates so he signed with Arizona. Or maybe he was planning on trying to go to the Bears and when he found out they got Bates, he signed with Arizona. 2 Quote

YoloinOhio Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 I don’t think Beane is going to pay Bates but signing Ike doesn’t mean anything in that regard he’s just trying to keep stef happy for another day 4 3 Quote
