Santana Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 Good morning, I've been searching for a few years for a video/clip of a hit on Chand Ocho Cinco from Donte Whitner. I cannot find it anywhere and was hoping someone on here might be able to find it? The game was in Cincinnati in probably 2009? Thanks!! GO BILLS!! Quote
strive_for_five_guy Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 That the Stevie Johnson why so serious game? Quote
Bagwell358 Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 No it was a home game. Late in game. Kinda dirty play in today’s nfl Quote
teef Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 the only type of tackle from whitner that i care to remember, is the backle. 1 5 Quote
Gugny Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 All I could find were pics and articles. Game was in 2007. http://www.espn.com/espn/wire/_/section/nfl/id/3094560 1 Quote
mushypeaches Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 I feel like it's more of an urban legend to think that Donte Whitner ever made a noteworthy play in a Bills uniform. They'll find Jimmy Hoffa before they ever unearth that footage 1 10 Quote
FarrellsFinest Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 Only Buffalo would draft a safety and expect him to change a franchise lol 1 1 1 Quote
Big Turk Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 Donte's main issue was being drafted where he was in the first round. He wasn't a bad player, he was just nowhere near a player that justified his draft status. 2 1 Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 You mean Donte "HITNER" God I hated that guy. Should have been Haloti Ngata. 1 5 Quote

Perfect example in the differences between those drought year regimes and how Beane/McDermott run things. Quote

Maybe if he wasn't the whipping boy for Bills fans pretty much from day 1, you would have seen a different side. These players are actually human beings you know. H2o Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 You'll find it at about the 3:15 mark in the video. 2 3 Quote

On a better team he seemed to perk up as a player. Quote
Don Dokken Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 I have a vivid memory of being at that game, sitting near a kid in an Ochocinco jersey. Some guy, seemingly oblivious to what was happening on the field, started relentlessly screaming “OCHO STINKO” at the kid as the cart came out for Chad. Everyone else around us was aghast. Man the drought was something else 1 1 1 Quote

I honestly don't think it would've mattered overall though... Sure, there's many drafts we can look back on during those years & see the better players we could've drafted, but had we kept all the same QB's, it wouldn't have changed much at all. At best, we would've had a few great players that wasted away some of their best years in a division the Pats were going to win for nearly 20 years... Quote

KCNC Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 I dont remember that one but I do remember Sammy Morris (on the Pats*) coming through the hole one time and just destroying Whitner. I kinda enjoyed it because I was not a Donte fan. 1 Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 (edited) Can I guess what the hit looked like? 8 guys tackle the ball carrier and Whitner comes flying in as the 9th guy on the pile? Edited March 28, 2022 by Miyagi-Do Karate 3 1 Quote
