Well the path to the Super Bowl is significantly easier in the NFC for starters…the dolphins also have a lot of weaknesses on the defensive side and some big holes on the oline still 1 Quote

SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted March 27, 2022 Posted March 27, 2022 On the topic of Brady Peyton Manning welcomed Tom Brady into the retired quarterbacks club with a handwritten note and a bottle of wine. Now that Brady has broken out of that club, he wants his stuff back. Quote

ChevyVanMiller Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 It’s now being reported that Brady’s retirement was nothing more than a hoax designed to get him out of his Tampa Bay contract so he could go to Miami and be part owner/starting QB. It appears that the lawsuit brought by former Dolphins coach Brian Flores blew that all to pieces. https://deadspin.com/the-tom-brady-retirement-saga-took-a-big-stupid-new-tu-1848764820 2 Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 Belichick probably heard about it and figured out how to stop it. I never believed he accidentally texted the wrong Brian. 3 3 2 2 Quote

His retirement seemed rushed and unplanned, then all of a sudden he's back after saying in his message that he couldn't commit to the team the same way. Quote

May Day 10 Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 (edited) I don't believe Belichick could have planned to make those texts assuming it would trigger an unprecedented lawsuit that would also include publicly mentioning this secret boat meeting with Brady and Ross, while also assuming the lawsuit would drop the same day as Brady announcing his retirement. No. Also, what a slimy move by Brady if that is true. I would think the other owners would be against setting the precedent of an active player being part-owner of a team Edited April 8, 2022 by May Day 10 Quote

It is nagging at me all this bad press about the Dolphins coming out and then all of a sudden Brady would be part owner in some way? Like after this year, whats to stop that from happening? He probably doesnt have the $ to do that though. Quote
Doc Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 A player also being a minority owner? Never happen. And the Bucs and Saints (since Sean Payton was supposed to be HC) would have demanded their 1st rounders over the next 2 drafts. Maybe after this season Tommy Boy can join them as an UFA. Quote

Or does it have to be the same city? 1 1 Quote

Brady retired Super Bowl week to make the weeks stories all about him. Brady then un-retired on the eve of free agency to, once again make the story all about him. Apparently he needs a lot of attention. 1 1 Quote
